  1. Thanks. Definitely not equivalent to the Royal breakfast. Not a deal-breaker but definitely a demerit.
  2. Thanks. Yes, agree about the onboard instant certs. Those are all we have received in over a year. We have un-fโ€™ed our emails at least 4 times with CR and they keep getting them dicked up again. Iโ€™m sure thatโ€™s part of them problem. Ugh.
  3. Does Zenith get an exclusive breakfast venue (e.g. Chops or CK) ?
  4. Agreed. I wonder how they will enforce it. I'm sure it will be a painful learning process just as it was for RC. I'm surprised that they matched Pinn to Zenith, TBH. We have never sailed on X so I am not familiar with the Zenith benefits, but it would seem, at first glance, that the Zeniths going to RC will be getting a nicer upgrade than the Pinnies going to X.
  5. I completely agree. I suspect, but don't know for sure, that we aren't getting offers b/c we have sooo many casino comps booked. I read somewhere that if you use too many they stop sending them. That's probably why....but who knows...
  6. I believe that this is a brand new "perk". Not sure that I concur but nobody asked me !
  7. How nice that you don't have to disembark !! Awesome turnaround
  8. We are doing a B2B on Utopia (9-13 and 9-16). We purchased the UDP for the first leg (3-nighter) and will eat at the Coastal Kitchen and/or use BOGO on leg #2. Since this will be our first cruise(s) on this new ship, we want to try and hit all the restaurants at least once. The โ€œsalesโ€ this past week for specialty dining were notable - particularly for the 3 night packages which rarely go on โ€œsaleโ€ at all. We have decided, over the years, that the UDP is, in most cases, just too much food for us but we will make an exception on UT for the 3-nighter since there will only be 1 lunch included (boarding day).
  9. There was an old policy, before the drink voucher program, that restricted the drinks to consumption in the Lounge but that policy is no longer in effect. You can definitely get a drink and leave the lounge.
  10. Simply fascinating stuff on the Titanic. Thank you for relating everything to us.
  11. Was able to book a 6:30 MTD reservation on Utopia (9-13 and 9-16). First time I've seen 6:30 as a MTD option in a VERY long time.
  12. This really depends on what kind of experience you are interested in. If you want the party vibe then the Hideaway is most likely your best bet....but the food is marginal. If you are looking for a more sedate and upgraded experience, the Beach Club is what you want. This time of year, the heated pool at Hideaway isn't going to make much of a difference. In the winter/early spring, I would say the heated pool would be a factor, but probably not right now. If money is no object I would definitely say to go with the Beach Club just for the far superior food but if all you really want is a loud DJ and a beach/pool lounger and "no kids" is a big deal, then the Hideaway will work. Personally, I wouldn't spend money on either of them but that's just me.
  13. We are on Utopia 9-13 and 9-16. The 9-13 is a casino comp booking and the 9-16 is a full fare booking made a long time ago. Recently (within the last week or so) dining packages have been available but nothing related to the MDR. I believe drink packages have also been posted but I don't really look at those so I'm not certain. I have absolutely no idea about excursions since these stops are in the Bahamas/PDCC and we never get off the ship at either of these stops. We will not pre-purchase any specialty dining for the 9-13 (3 night) cruise, and will just eat in the Coastal Kitchen with maybe a BOGO but for the 9-16 sailing I purchased the UDP which is a rarity for us. The price was very good (relative to recent horrific prices, that is) and since this will be our first visit(s) to Utopia, I figured it would be a nice time to go to all of the restaurants. As a general comment, I don't think it's all that unusual to have the Cruise Planner postings delayed somewhat for new ships. I think they're trying to maximize the prices so they are waiting until the last minute to see what they can "get". Just my guess...
