  1. We went to Costco today and purchased 3 boxes of full-size candy bars. We don't need that much for our dozen or so trick or treaters. But we will have chocolate until Easter. ☺️ They also had 3 pack boxes of chocolate covered Macadamia nuts for $17.98. I might go back and get another one. I always seem to need small gifts (plus tip) for the nail salon, hair salon and just miscellaneous things. Plus! I really like chocolate covered macadamia nuts. 😄
  2. We were on a bus excursion in Barbados. We went to Mt. Gay distillery and then to Banks Brewery and then to Harbour Lights beach bar. There was a full size bus load, maybe 35 people? As we were getting ready to leave the bar, the guide came up to me, and asked if we had everyone. I was a little shocked (I'm not in charge of an RC excursion) But I looked around and said, "I guess so, these people all have Celebrity beach towels" ☺️
  3. @aussielozzie18 I had a curious question the other evening. I know you are a bird lover. You have posted photos of the Cockatoos and the Lorikeets, which we saw while we there. I know cockatiels are originally from Australia. Are they in the wild there? They are in the pet trade here. Polly came to us as a young bird when he climbed into the tackle box, while we were fishing at a local lake. No one claimed him, and we had him for 19 years. I just wondered if there are flocks of cockatiels?
  4. Never been on the big ships, and don't really have any interest. I guess Liberty is the largest we have been on. We are fine with the Radiance or Vision class. The ship doesn't really mean a whole lot to us. We don't really get off at Caribbean ports anymore. I like to see the ocean and be outside. And I despise the Promenade. It feels like being in a shopping mall. But that is just me. ☺️ Mariner was the first Promenade. It was kind of interesting at first. But by the end of the week, I didn't like it at all.
  5. I'm sorry. We just sold 30 years of Royal Caribbean prizes and loyalty gifts on Ebay. We are moving. And as much as I appreciated all of those prizes and gifts, we didn't really use many of them much once we were home. A few things we still use, the document holders, umbrellas and one of the tote bags and backpacks. I am keeping the crystal blocks. They have been so incredibly generous over the years. And there was all the thrill of winning! I like the zipper pulls too. ☺️ But there was just so much of it. And we can't move with everything. So, DH put it up in lots on Ebay.
  6. I was thinking that would be fun. We've never been to Bermuda. But then I keep remembering that we will be selling the house then and can't book anything until we are moved. I keep wanting to book things, but we have to buckle down. We spent a week at the other house last week continuing the cleanout. It was very sad and exhausting. After two dressers and three closets, I started on the linen closet. I don't know why anyone would need more than 30 quilted placements and over 100 cloth napkins. We dragged giant bags of clothing back here to donate. 😔
  7. It should show up in your cruise planner. If it is not, you can call C&A first. Welcome to Cruise Critic.
  8. It is refundable. And yes, you should cash it out in the casino. If it is refunded back to your RC Visa, it is a double point deficit.
  9. We had that happen one time with our toiletry bag. The side was ripped open. No TJ Maxx or Ross, but there was a Walgreens where we could purchase duct tape. It wasn't pretty, but it was a Canal cruise back to San Francisco. Now we just leave the duct tape in the bag. ☺️
  10. Won Ton soup. Tempura shrimp. I don't eat sushi. Or teriyaki, as previously mentioned.
  11. We accidentally went on a Fall Break cruise out of Port Canaveral one year on Mariner. Tons of kids. We are from the west coast and didn’t even know Fall Break was a thing. Live and learn.
  12. Celebrity sent us nice plastic cards with our Captain's Club numbers on them. Royal Caribbean never gave us anything like that, so we just use these for number reference.
  13. I love your reviews Harry. We fly down to Long Beach. Even though we are as local as you are. ☺️ If we can get a SWA sale, it has been as low as $29 p/p one way, sometimes $49. And there are only 2 of us. Then we Uber from LGB to the pier and back at the end of the cruise. There are a few cabs. The taxi area is way, way down at the front of the ship. But there are a lot of Ubers and Lyfts available on cruise days. We like to skip the cow section of I5. 😁
  14. Yes! I have one of those C&A Silver Member cards. They were paper so I laminated it to have my number handy. ☺️
