Totally unrelated to any recent posts, but they are starting on the new flooring installation tomorrow. π It seems really exciting, until you consider the reality of how much stuff needs to be moved/put somewhere else. The loveseat is gone. Two cabinet end tables are gone. The sofa is on the front porch and will remain there until we have enough stuff for a bulky waste pickup. We're not even doing the bedrooms. We are going to keep them carpeted. Living room, kitchen, and hall. It has been 3 weeks of moving stuff, packing stuff and getting rid of stuff. Bobby and I will hang out in the master bedroom. π

A coworker has fixed in place, decorative wooden shutters on the front windows of his house. One day, he was hosing them off, and all of these soaking wet little brown bats came climbing out between the slats. They had no idea and had never even noticed them before. He just left them, and hoses them more frequently, to make it not a good roosting spot. βΊοΈ That's a chubby bat on your screen, Greg. Maybe he (or she) has been eating well. π

Yes! It was very, very good. I love chocolate. Thanks again. βΊοΈ

@HBE4 It looks like a wonderful getaway. Beautiful view! Very rustic though. It looks like you had a nice time. I guess we are fortunate. Everyone keeps calling our other house a cabin. But it is actually a house that is even larger than our present home. I wish we were on a lake though. There is only a stocked ditch for fishing.

They like snacks. We had a bartender that we chatted with quite a bit. At the last port, he mentioned that he was getting off at the last port to get snacks. On the last night we asked if he had gotten his snacks? He said no, he got busy. We always bring a lot of snacks. We had unopened Pringles, bags of Peppermint Patties, I think Reese's, KitKats and some other stuff. Unopened or individually wrapped. He was delighted. Comment was "I love chocolate!" We don't bring snacks for them specifically. But if it works out, it does. We also tip generously.

I just don't feel really pampered anymore. We did a B2B in March, and the whole thing just seemed mediocre. I guess the most frustrating part was just trying to get dining reservations for our 3 night package. And we went very early for the second cruise. We are just taking a break, while we do some house stuff, and see if the prices get more reasonable.

We have one little sad rose bush in the front yard. And every year it optimistically leafs out and has beautiful blooms. And then the deer come by one night and strip all of the flowers off and most of the leaves, like a goat ate it. βΊοΈ I hope your husband Charlie is okay, Marietta. And I am hopeful that Linda's surgery will go well, Greg.

Liberty Of The Seas Connoisseur Club

Sadly. It is gone. We had a wonderful time in them, before they were taken away. Smoking lounge, private bar. No need to bother others. Oh well. We are taking a hiatus from Royal Caribbean. -
Cooler/Refrigerators in INSIDE cabins of GRANDEUR

They do not. On Vision Class ships, only the balcony and above staterooms have them. -
Last time we stopped in Barbados, we booked a Viator trip to their wildlife park, because I specifically wanted to see their Patagonian Mara. They are not exhibited very many places. The park was old and failing and rundown. They used to have 7 of them, but this old guy is the last one left. It is not a caged park, and we hiked all over to find him. And he is probably gone, and there won't be any more on Barbados.

There would be even more mayhem. (than there already is) if consumers were allowed to purchase Class C fireworks in California. Obviously, a lot of people here are able to purchase them anyway, illegal or not. There were 2 more local fires last evening. And there would be even more. It is probably a good thing that they aren't for sale. And cruise related: Ruby Princess ran into the dock in San Francisco today.

Just out of curiosity, are all kinds of fireworks legal to buy in PA? We have a few municipalities nearby that allow the purchase and use of Safe & Sane fireworks. Sparklers, cones and that sort of thing. Aerials, Roman candles, mortars and firecrackers and M-80's and M-100's are illegal in the whole state. But millions of people here seem to find them to purchase. π What are people allowed to buy there? βΊοΈ Just curious about the differences. And there was a 10-acre fire at our nearby lake last evening.

That sounds like our neighborhood. Non-stop explosions since 8PM. It is absolutely amazing how many illegal fireworks are out there. We were both amazed at how continuous the noise is. Bobby doesn't like them. He went and hid in the garage until we both came back inside. I don't hate them. It is just that every year, I am surprised at how many there are.
