We think that is not hot Graham. Just pleasant, and we can have the sliding doors and windows open (with screens) for cooling. Fortunately, we don't have humid. We don't have AC either.βΊοΈ At the present time, we still have our winter sheets on the bed, because it has been very windy and cold and overcast. The furnace is still running in the morning.

Tracking Device for Child on Vision of the Seas?
Coralc replied to LeslieMusician's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I've seen them run. First day onboard. Mom, dad and toddler were up checking out the pool deck. And the toddler just started jetting towards the pool. I made a sharp left to intercept him, but his mom noticed very quickly and ran and grabbed him. They are fast. (I don't think I would want to be that responsible for one) If you're not runners, maybe send the 6-year old after him. βΊοΈ -
They put a cone on Bobby once for a skin rash. He had it off before I had even finished paying the bill at the front desk. π€£ I hope Minnie is back to her usual sweet self by tomorrow. My MRI experience. I'm a wimp. It was for my back injury. It was hot, I was in pain, and the ceiling of the tube was right in my face. He did the first set and I started whimpering. The tech asked if I was okay, and I said, No. By then I was crying because I knew I had to do it. He pulled me out. The tech said I should get drugs and try again the next day. The snotty receptionist at the Dr's office said, "We ASKED you if you were claustrophobic." I told her, I didn't know I was. But they had me pick up a valium pill. The next day I took the pill. I had my mom take me and had her stand near the end of the tube and read to me while it was going on. She was reading "Out of Africa". And she just started with the first chapter in between the banging. I had a farm in Africa...Just hearing her voice calmed down. But it was not pleasant.

I don't really want to get into it Renee. But one of the people I used to inspect at a plant nursery was going through a divorce. He killed his wife. Which was horrible enough. But then he took his 5-year-old daughter to the GG Bridge and threw her off before he jumped himself. It just gives me nightmares and nets would have helped. I am a big proponent of the nets. That was the first thing I noticed about the Sydney Bridge. Our family has been greatly impacted by Bill's brother's suicide. It was not a bridge thing. No matter the method, it just so affects the people that are left behind.

I would hope that a 3-year-old would never get far enough away from you, that a tracking device would be needed.- 80 replies

I have no firsthand knowledge. But I don't think it will be available to regular passengers, until possibly sometime after the World Cruise.

Is a quiet evening possible on Vision of the Seas?
Coralc replied to Elise17's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Generally, the Promenade deck is windy as all get out, when the ship is underway. Viking Crown is quiet, until disco starts. The Solarium is quiet, generally. On most ships, I sit up on the pool deck and read. It is generally quiet, once the insanely loud movie is over. You'll find somewhere to read. I always do. But actually, thinking about it...I can read through all kinds of noise. It doesn't have to be quiet. π -
Allure of the Seas June 4-11, 2023

Thanks! Interesting. D+ free Wash & Fold has always only been available on sailings of 5 nights or longer. So that one is true. It won't be on the 3/4's. βΊοΈ Unless you are talking about a suite perk? -

We had a sensor go out on our alarm system. We were out of town. The alarm company was unable to reach us and called the police. The neighbor called to tell us the police were at our house. When we came back in from yardwork, we looked at the home cameras, and they did check all of the doors. The funniest camera shot was of the officer with his notepad copying down our alarm permit number and Bobby the cat staring and silently meowing at him from between the curtains up on his cat perch. I'm sure our cats were freaked out by the noise, too. Poor Lizzie. -
It is absolutely horrible and disgusting. We don't go over to SF anymore. Beautiful city just gone to trash and crime. And Oakland is the same way, if not worse. We are moving, albeit slowly. But we did have the flooring guy out today. We will be ordering the flooring, dumping some furniture and slowly progressing. And it looks like poor Bobby is going soon. He is fine, and still active. But according to his labs, he is hyperthyroid again and has very poor heart and liver labs.

Have you ever encountered this before where you live? It is weird if it is new to you. We first experienced it in 1991, with the Oakland Hills Fire, which was very close. But in the last few years, it has happened with some regularity, from large fires that are quite a distance away. It just depends on the wind and the air pressure. Check out Purple Air to see if there are air quality monitoring stations near you. It is kind of alarming when the air is that bad. And it looks bad there.
