Princess casino offer not booked as offered
Sprocket replied to roxievegas's topic in Cruise Casinos
Yeah I think you're going to have to call and get this fixed. My husband is always listed as passenger 2 and the perks are listed for both of us in the Summary. And yes it will show what you paid and the outstanding balance that is for the casino. You will get reminders about final payment I use those as a reminder to keep tabs on my booking. -
Princess Casino Dept. Not Paying their Portion
Sprocket replied to CalLuvsCrusingToo's topic in Princess Cruises
I was never notified I only found out when I went to check the booking, and it was completely gone. I had an extended angled mini suite so I was not at all happy but held it and did get it back. I was also given dinner in the Crown Grill. True about the air there was a post a while back where that happened to someone and when I booked my next casino offer it was stressed that I could not add anything basically it all had to be done through them. -
Princess Casino Dept. Not Paying their Portion

Call first thing in the morning and ask to speak with a supervisor. Tell them you will wait while they find someone. So frustrating! Happened to me but I found out right away and put a hold on my cabin which was already back in inventory until I was able to get it rebooked. Are there cabins available to book? Is your original cabin still available? And for sure you are calling the casino number? 1 888-772-6697 Good luck! -
Princess casino offer not booked as offered
Sprocket replied to roxievegas's topic in Cruise Casinos
I had a VIP cruise booked a while back and the casino did not pay their portion in time so it got cancelled. Although I caught it right away and got most of it back I never got any of the extra amenities they were offering on the original booking. I know they are probably overwhelmed but what I did learn is they could/would do nothing once onboard so now I make sure any errors are fixed while I'm on the phone with them. Don't let them put you off be polite but firm that you will stay on the line until they get the issues resolved. -
Princess casino offer not booked as offered

Try going into My Account Future Cruise Credits, then Onboard Credits. It should tell you how much your FP is if its not showing up in your Personalizer. If its not in either place call them back with the offer code which they can see on their end, and have it reinstated. I staple my offers to my Summaries so I have them when I board. -
San Pedro Best Western Closed Permantly
Sprocket replied to PacnGoNow's topic in West Coast Departures
The County of Los Angeles and Volunteers of America are in the process of purchasing the Best Western Hotel on Gaffey Street, with the intention of turning it into temporary housing for homeless veterans. It will be purchased using funds from Project Homekey 2, a program that houses homeless people in hotels. It will have 60 rooms, and the county and Volunteers of America are paying $22,224,000 for it. Advertisement “That is the cost of purchasing the property, renovations needed to make the building suitable for interim housing, and additional funding to operate the site,” said Liz Odendahl, communications director for Supervisor Janice Hahn, in an email. “These costs are in line with costs for similar projects around the state.” Volunteers of America will own the property, even though it is purchasing the building with county funds. Odendahl said the organization is required to utilize it for the county’s intended purposes. Hahn said that Volunteers of America has a great track record with working with homeless veterans. “The County will have a contract with VOA so that we can provide oversight and make sure this is a great project that helps the veterans who will live there and works hand in hand with the San Pedro community,” Hahn said via email. -
Sent mine in again a few weeks ago with 3RD Request in the subject line. Still waiting.

Booked first casino comp cruise and have questions
Sprocket replied to BarBug's topic in Princess Cruises
Did you check your cruise personalizer? Then Travel Summary? It should be itemized there near the bottom. -
Just keep an eye on your booking around final payment date, my first casino cruise was cancelled with no notice for non payment by the casino department. Caught it right away and even though mine are all “protected” now I don’t want any surprises.

Their website says its the same price for valet as it is for self park. Valet was the only option when I booked so nothing to compare it to. Option 1 - Valet Parking - Leave your Keys VIP Service! Same low price! - Pull into our lot - A Valet will park your car and load your luggage on our shuttles - Priority shuttles - Preferred option for handicap access - Great for larger vehicles! Avoid tight spots!

Booking a casino offer as a solo passenger
Sprocket replied to cruzin4us's topic in Princess Cruises
They don't penalize solo travelers who book through their casino offers. Going to Alaska in August using the Prestige offer. All in $474 US, balcony, FP, Princess Plus and a choice of 4 offers which I apparently book when on board. -
Better service tipping in cash? No. Great service with a smile always. I guess I don't get what your expectation of better service could be?? Your order delivered before others that were ahead of you? Additional items brought but not ordered? I'm genuinely curious. I always have their tip waiting on the little table in the entry way they are extremely busy delivering orders all over the ship and especially with Covid still around I'm sure they don't want to spend any more time than necessary in someone's cabin.

When I booked it valet was the only option available no option to choose self park. Not having used any of the parkades near the pier I appreciate the helpful information some have provided.
-
Thank you great information!!
-
Thanks even with Google Maps I have zero sense of direction, makes it easy to have landmarks. I am guessing your instructions are for the valet parking? If not I'm sure there will be signs lol.

Booked with Seattle Cruise Park last week https://www.seattlecruiseparking.com/full-service-parking/ $167 includes valet parking and shuttle to and from the pier. First time booking with them but they have good reviews, we are on the Discovery August 14th.

Once your cruise is completed you will be upgraded to Platinum.
-
Yes you can but if a Princess ship you will have to use your Medallion to create an account first on any machine. Very easy to do and machine will not accept cash until you log in each time.

The casino doesn’t pay their portion until 30 to 60 days out and everyone gets these reminders. I had an issue with our first booking which they cancelled but I caught it immediately and had it reinstated. You can call them I use 1 888 772-6697 and ask them to protect your booking, all mine now have this designation and I have been assured it won’t happen again. I have also called a few days before final payment to confirm payment has been made and so far no further issues.

So you didn’t get the option to charge the reservation to your credit card? Maybe try logging out and logging back in with your booking number, and click on plate option on the opening screen? Last resort is to call them and see if you can book through to them, just be prepared for long wait times.
-
It works the same for MDR reservations, we just book the same time every night and change or cancel once onboard if necessary.
-
Just literally made a reservation for Sabatinis the default time was 8:20 PM, once I clicked on the edit button I was able to select the time I wanted.

Looked at mine yesterday and Princess also added the ArriveCAN app requirement to that notice for our cruises to Alaska. Filled it out multiple times but a good reminder for non Canadian cruisers and those who perhaps haven’t travelled outside Canada for awhile.
