  1. I had a stand for the vials from prior tests but left the box unopened until we began the actual test. They will ask you to verify your ID and then walk you through the test itself. I used an upside down coffee cup to rest my Ipad on and they will have you position the test and your ID so that everything is visible to them while your test processes. That takes 15 minutes. It takes about 30 minutes to get the results back. They will email to confirm your appointment time and the day before will send you a link to use to log in, I had to click on it a few times as it timed out but they were pretty much on time for the test. Very easy, and I've had 2 different people do the test and both were great.
  2. Used them twice in the last 3 weeks using the BTNX tests for Princess. No issues at all.
  3. I am cruising on Saturday and checked the Princess site for any updates. As of August 24th RAT tests for fully vaccinated and up to date cruisers is now 2 days. PCR is within 72 hours. Had my negative test results today almost booked for yesterday glad I didn't. the 2-day window does not depend on the time of day the test was taken or the time that you board for example, if your ship is scheduled to leave on Friday, you could provide proof of a negative result from an antigen test taken any time on Wednesday, Thursday, or on Friday it must be administered or observed by a pharmacy, laboratory, healthcare entity or telehealth online service
  4. Your status will change to Platinum after you complete your current cruise.
  5. Land border only, I live 10 minutes from the border and no way would I attempt to cross without it.
  6. Maybe we’ll be neighbors I booked a B2B in April, balcony and forward facing mini suite first time in that location they are usually sold out on my cruises.
  7. I booked D424 for next spring on the Discovery it’s a category BA and has the extended angled balcony. We are headed to Alaska on Sunday so I am hoping to see if there is any difference in size between the regular extended balcony and the mini suite one. As long as I don’t have to sit sideways on my balcony it’s all good.
  8. I just clicked on redeem rewards entered a new password which has to be up to 12 letters /numbers and I was able to access the full site.
  9. I did that once and they sent my cabin steward to pick it up who IMO has enough to do, after that I just put the tray on the ledge near the door and he picked it up in the morning.
  10. Just tried to do a purchase let me put the item in the cart and took me to check out. Also able to choose Canadian funds.
  11. I don’t think it’s through the casino, the marketing would be really limited to a specific group in that case. The site does have the Sea Witch logo which is copyrighted so I doubt its random.
  12. Booked a B2B yesterday through the casino department and received this shortly after as well as a follow up call from the rep about it who booked my cruises. I have a $100 credit $50X2. Doubt I’ll use it but I’ll watch for updates. I was able to see all the merchandise offered. I think lol.
  13. I had the paper ones and they also showed up on the screens near the elevators.
  14. When? I had a sign for my birthday in December and our Anniversary on the Grand.
  15. Very easy to go to guest services once onboard and put cash on your account.
  16. Did you get a booking confirmation by email with a PDF which shows what you paid? The amount due is the casinos portion which they will pay a few weeks out. You will get a reminder at final payment but you can ignore that it’s for the casino department. I’ve upgraded many times to a mini suite with no issues.
  17. Once you have filled in all your information you will get a QR code, take a screen shot and you’re good to go. Once you submit it CBSA has your information and except for cabin steward it’s unlikely anyone will ask to see it. You may also receive a customs declaration form in your cabin this is separate from the ArriveCAN app and is quick and easy to fill out.
  18. I took an Uber from the Hilton Marina to Lab Doctor test was $49 and I just waited for the results. For our cruises next month we are using our free government tests and booked online proctored tests.
  19. Quick Google search of ArriveCAN says to use Kingdom of Norway. Is that an option?
  20. Lots of companies now to choose from we booked our tests through lifecenters.ca $20 each or 2 for $25. Found the information in the Canadian Cruisers forum.
  21. Vaccines for those under 12 were not available for most of the start up. Now that they are and even for the littles under 5 I can understand families wanting to travel and cruise. Never had any issues with kids on board and used to enjoy seeing them on scavenger hunts etc when we were on HAL.
  22. If its shirts leave them on the hangers use a twist tie to keep them together and put a dry cleaner bag over them. Put them on the top of your packed clothes. Been doing this for years rarely any wrinkles, works for my dresses too.
