  1. Not really a good analogy because Delta and United are not part of the same corporation. That said, I don't think there is any reciprocity between Royal and Celebrity.
  2. They never did for US citizens from US ports. They used to require it for Non-US departures, but that has been lifted as of July 1.
  3. I should clarify, it was not required for US/US ports. Only requirement was US/non-US departures. Now it's not required at all for US passengers.
  4. Bret, you're right about how it's poorly worded, and we may see a correction at some point due to the confusion. Regardless, this is good news and getting back to "normal". If they would just now quit the testing, we be in great shape. Since our sailing is Med, we generally take the travel insurance anyway mainly for medical and evacuation but not through the cruiseline.
  5. It says"new" reservations starting July 1. Mine is an old reservation. July 1 is a reservation date, not a sailing date.
  6. For US passengers, not required for US or non-US sailings as of July 1. Just look under the Health and Safety Measures.
  7. Not sure I understand the circumstances. An upgrade generally means you pay more for something. So what's the refund for?
  8. I just saw this. So for the same cruise sailing, people can either have to or not have to have insurance based on when they booked? Seems hard to administer. For U.S. and Puerto Rico residents departing on cruises from a non-U.S. port and non-U.S. residents departing on cruises from U.S. and international ports:For all new reservations, beginning July 1, 2022, MSC Cruises strongly encourages but does not require fully vaccinated guests to purchase travel insurance with COVID-19 protection either through MSC Cruises or another provider. https://www.msccruisesusa.com/health-and-safety-measures#faq
  9. We're docking in Venice on November 6th and wondering what the earliest flight we would be able to take out of Marco Polo that day. I know the ship docks and shuttles you to Venice Passenger Terminal for disembarkation.
  10. Yes, my cruise was adjusted for the savings once my match was made. It did take a few months for the match though. Others have had theirs matched much quicker.
  11. I'm confused by the title of this thread. What is dep?
  12. Where are you from? The Med cruises have required testing up to 2 days prior for US citizens. The USA site says additional tests may be done at embarkation or on board, but I don't know anything about that.
  13. Cruise is RT Venice, with stops in Brindisi, Athens, Split and Mykonos. Then we're deciding whether to hit another European city before we head back and that's where it can get cold quick I guess should we pick Dublin or Amsterdam.
  14. We're scheduled for end of October into first week of November. Does it get too cold then? I love Florida heat, so I know "cold" is relative.
  15. My IHealth tests came this week from the government and they too expire 8/9/22. Good to know about the 3 month extension.
  16. interestingly now, the All in plus has disappeared. The different price boxes are there, but with no description of inclusions.
  17. I just noticed this too when checking my cruise pricing. I wonder if they're in the middle of a change. All in was a package that had the Easy Plus drinks plus Wifi. But I think it's erroneous now. When you proceed with the pricing and look at the summary, you only get the drinks on the 3rd package to the right in ascending price order. The left option was cruise only, the second was an offer with more OBC and kids free and the 3rd was the Easy Plus package and wifi. I'm just going to keep checking because they're obviously changing something.
  18. Yes, it's a delay of course. I'd rather not have the cruise line hanging onto that much money if I book very early.
  19. Does Royal ever have reduced deposit sales? We'd like to book a Transatlantic but the $900 deposit for 2 is very steep.
  20. Not true. Depends on where you're from when sailing in the Caribbean. From US, no you don't need it.
  21. Not sure if anyone mentioned this. They are going to reevaluate in 90 days:(.
  22. My Royal Personal Vacation Planner said she would be able to hold a cruise before the FCC is issued. I would think the general CS reps could do it too.
  23. Yes, at the very rear of the buffet, you can step outside and eat out there. We loved this option until one breakfast, a large bird came down and snatched my husband's bacon off his plate when he went inside to get coffee. There are also tables outside of a few other venues including the Sport's Bar.
