  1. We sail Mediterranean in October. Hoping at least they go to 3 days for pretest if needed.
  2. Yes, they are sailing from both. if the cruise says Venice for embarkation, then the ship is in Marghera. You check in on Venice proper and they tender you and your luggage to the ship to get on and off. If your embarkation says Trieste (Venice), then it's not Venice at all. We are leaving out of Venice in October. See this link about the ports and when you click on them, they tell you embarkation instructions for the port. https://www.msccruisesusa.com/cruise/destinations/mediterranean
  3. I'm assuming since it's in the MSC forum, that it's a MSC ship.
  4. Exactly. I'm not going to fly to Italy before testing.
  5. I know! They haven't changed anything on Med sailings. I want no testing, but even moving it to 3 days would help a lot.
  6. I wonder if these posts will get combined. This is the 3rd on the same subject in the past couple hours.
  7. In order for any of us to help, me need to know the ship, date and number of nights.
  8. You can charge to your onboard account on the slots, then cash it out in the casino to get Euros. Say you charge $40 to your onboard account, play a couple dollars on the slots, then cash out.
  9. Awesome. We're sailing from Venice on October 30, so hopefully not far behind in getting assigned. Now if they'll just change their testing, we'll be good.
  10. That's excellent! Is this from US or Europe?
  11. Also bewildering about Greece, is that NCL only requires a test if you EMBARK in Piraeus, Greece. Any other cruise that just stops in Greece as a port stop doesn't require preembarkation testing. There is no consistency between cruise lines on this.
  12. OK thanks. I assumed we'd just use our vaccination cards but started panicking that there may be a different requirement.
  13. What would this equivalent be for US passengers cruising in Europe?
  14. I think it depends on the airlines's policies. With American it was the fact that is was a Transatlantic flight that put it at no charge. It clearly says there is a fee even with Main cabin on domestic flights.
  15. The easiest way to check is to go through the motions of picking your flights on Flightease to compare the fares.
  16. You're right. The chat person confirmed it's Main cabin, not Basic Economy. But then they told me there was no bag included. Then I questioned the fact that the flight was Transatlantic. They put me on hold for several minutes, consulted with others and finally came back and said it included one checked back. Why is it so difficult to figure this out?
  17. Premium Economy is over 2x the amount of Economy. The fact that I can pick seats tells me it's not Basic Economy. So there is one bag included since it's Transatlantic. I will confirm with AA.
  18. Exactly. Hopefully the "matter of time" is before the end of October. I really don't want to have to test the day we fly from Florida to Venice to catch the ship (MSC, not HAL). Also, some cruise lines are treating Greece differently (requiring preembarkation test) even if it's just a port stop. NCL only requires a test if you embark in Piraeus.
  19. Doesn't say anything about the type of seat, other than what's Premium and First Class. I guess the fact that we were able to pick seats tell me it's not Basic Economy, where you don't get a seat until after checkin.
