  1. Last year the MSC Labor Day Sale was better than previous sales had been. It gave more onboard credit than usual ($100 PP on a 7 night cruise). We had a deposit on a December cruise but it was before final payment. We were able to reprice cruise to the LD sale.
  2. The US site now has excluded the comment about self tests not accepted.
  3. We're going straight from ship to airport, so that's why I'm asking about doing it on the ship. Looking for a definitive yes or no based on experience.
  4. Sounds like you don't make Ryanair. They charge big fees if you don't have it.
  5. Sounds like for Ryanair if you're non EU, that you need printed for Visa/document check.
  6. Is it possible print our airline boarding passes before disembarkation on the ship? Is this possible at Internet cafe or Guest Services?
  7. I've had that question myself as we have a 6 hours time difference and are flying out that day. To be safe, I plan on making sure the hours are based on the departure time zone. Maybe others have actual factual info on the requirement. Also it's interesting how some cruises mention this hourly example like yours and North Europe, but Mediterranean does not specify and I assume it's based on days, not hours.
  8. From MSC's US site for Med: https://www.msccruisesusa.com/health-and-safety-measures/mediterranean COVID-19 TEST REQUIREMENTS: All fully COVID-19 vaccinated guests 12 years and older are required to show proof of a negative antigen or RT-PCR test taken no more than 2 days before embarkation. Guests must bring the valid negative test certificate with them to the terminal. MSC Cruises may provide additional testing, if necessary, at the terminal during embarkation or on board to protect our guests and crew. To note: An antigen self-test is not accepted for embarkation. Requirements for fully vaccinated guests under 12 years old are the same as testing requirements for guests 12 years and older who are fully vaccinated. All guests not fully vaccinated (all guests under 12 years of age, given our vaccination requirements) are required to show proof of a negative RT-PCR test taken no more than 2 days before embarkation. Guests must bring the valid negative test certificate with them to the terminal. These guests may undergo an additional COVID-19 test at the terminal prior to embarkation provided by MSC Cruises, free of charge. The only exception is that no pre-embarkation or embarkation testing is required for guests under 2 years of age.
  9. Sure wish they'd do that on the US site for med cruises. So many differences. Uk peeps don't need booster and US do.
  10. Thanks. Actually the casino could work like an ATM if I needed euros for travel.
  11. Sailing on Armonia out of Venice in October. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what currency does the casino give you when you cash out?
  12. Not sure where you get this 48 hours for Mediterranean cruises. It is 2 days per their website. Time of day doesn't matter. Northern Europe does mention time of day, but not Med. All fully COVID-19 vaccinated guests 12 years and older are required to show proof of a negative antigen or RT-PCR test taken no more than 2 days before embarkation.
  13. They still require it, but it appears as a question on the health questionnaire and no documentation is required.
  14. Sounds like an honor system because they are no longer requiring any certification and can just be a home test without proctoring.
  15. I never said they did. This is an International forum as far as I know.
  16. Changes at P&O too: https://www.cruisehive.com/po-cruises-informs-guests-of-updated-testing-policy/77035
  17. Hopefully that will keep the dominos tumbling. Go MSC!
  18. P&O announcing changes today too. Honor system for testing: The tests will still need to be done within two days before embarking on the ship for all guests aged five years and over. The test doesn’t need to be medically observed, and P&O Cruises will accept over-the-counter COVID-19 lateral flow/antigen tests. During the embarkation process, guests will be asked if they have indeed taken the test when they are filling out the pre-embarkation health questionnaire. https://www.cruisehive.com/po-cruises-informs-guests-of-updated-testing-policy/77035
  19. Hopefully that will keep the dominos tumbling. Go MSC!
  20. I don't know of a specific one, but it will help in your search to look at Civitavecchia, the town where the port is. Rome is about an hour train ride away.
  21. The changes have begun. Azamara just dropped pre-cruise testing. Who will be next? Hoping it's MSC. https://www.travelweekly.com/Cruise-Travel/Azamara-drops-pre-cruise-Covid-testing
