So any time of day as long as the date is 2 days before, with no regards to time changes?

We're in the same boat! When is your cruise? Our timeframes are the same. Leaving FLL on Delta on Friday to Venice for a Sunday cruise. Times keep changing also, which has made us leave FLL earlier than originally planned. Also, if it is specific to the hour (although it says 2 days), is that from our boarding time, or the time the ship is set to sail? That's another 5 hours difference.

There are no restrictions for the countries it visits on this itinerary other that supposed embarkations in Athens. We embark in Venice.

They recently removed the sentence that said self tests are not accepted. So they are accepted now? Is a report through the Navica App acceptable?

I need for MSC to do away with the testing on 7 night Med cruises or at least give you 3 days to take it. Due to travel time and 6 hour time difference, it makes it very difficult to fly to Europe for a cruise after taking the test.

Do they pay attention to the time change differences? If I take a test in EST in US at 9:00AM in Florida on Friday and sailing is 4:00PM on Sunday from Venice, Italy, then I technically took the test at 10:00 in Venice' time zone. Do that care that that is actually 49 hours ahead and not 48? I don't want to get on a plane to Europe without having my test done. There was a discussion somewhere recently about this, and I can't put my finger on it quickly. The situation is that my airline keeps changing the flight times, and I'm forced to leave earlier than originally planned.

Considering you'd have to be at BCN at least 2 hours early, it's very rushed. I wouldn't risk it. You never know if there will be a delay getting back into port, or for the ship to clear and start letting people off.

Easy. MSC commonly has passengers embark and disembark at multiple ports. It's the same cruise. I believe it's called interporting. When it gets to a port, some people join and others leave. Just look at the maps of the itineraries and it's easy to see. Now if the cruise had the same dates from the different ports, that would be a problem. DIfferent dates, different ports, no problem at all. We're taking Armonia in October and had the choice of getting on at Venice, Brindisi, Athens, etc.

TESTING REQUIREMENTS (UPDATED 8/05/22) CRUISES 5 DAYS OR LESS Except for sailings visiting Bermuda (see below), there will be no pre-cruise testing for fully vaccinated guests booked on cruises with itineraries 5 days or less. Due to destination requirements, ALL guests on itineraries that include Bermuda must complete a pre-cruise test, irrespective of the length of the cruise. To comply with destination regulations, guests may take either a PCR or an antigen test within the timelines specified below: A PCR test within 72 hours prior to sailing (for example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Wednesday). An antigen test no earlier than two days prior to sailing (for example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Thursday).

They have changed the discounts. You only get OBC when booking 9+ months ahead, unless you've buying a fare that includes some OBC. Double points is 12 months out. If you booked far ahead, give it a day or two and it'll show up in your cruise details.

Also, does the booking number stay the same?

How long are these transfers taking these days? HAL said 3 weeks. I'm thinking it may be shorter in actuality.

I booked today with the $1 on a Transatlantic in April. The pricing was the same as it had been previously, but instead of $1,200 deposit, I paid $2. Can't beat that even if you cancel.

Interesting that MSC has not stated that testing is still required for Bahamas as Carnival did.

Correct. They dropped that on July 1.

The great thing about MSC is they do not add any more for the service charges on the drink package when you book the offer that includes the free drinks.
