I have never seen a laundry by the bag special price on HAL. Has anyone else? It's always been the posted price only. Thanks, ~Nancy

@J18ktleo If you haven't already, I suggest you look on the Ports of Call forum for Iceland and Greenland to get lots of information about this ever more popular destination. You will get targeted responses to your Iceland questions from a larger reader group than just the Windstar cruisers. Iceland and Greenland - Cruise Critic Community Have a wonderful trip! ~Nancy

Hopefully @r&rd will come back and offer more details of sleeping on the couch. 🙂

@avalong I'll look around at other weather sites. It's just the first one I saw on the list. Do you have a recommendation for a weather website that is more accurate? I use them a lot for travels. Thanks, ~Nancy

Just googled "Average Humidity in Tahiti" and laughed! 😁The Humidity is almost the same year-round in Tahiti!! Check Humidity in Tahiti by Month | Accurate Insights (weather-and-climate.com)

I remember another thread about the sleeping couch in the owner's suite sometime earlier this year. I'll try and find it on the search function......stay tuned! Found it! It's the thread you started a year ago! You stated that your TA had found the information you needed that it was a sofa bed. Other than @r&rd there probably aren't a lot of people with that experience in the last year. Good luck with your quest for information! ~Nancy

@Tahitianbigkahuna you haven't posted in a while. I hope you are off having fun somewhere and too busy to bother with Cruise Critic! I miss your input on all Polynesia information! 🙂 ~Nancy

Thank you @VMax1700. I think it was a little too late on a Friday evening for accurate reading comprehension on my part! 🍷😉 ~Nancy

Welcome to Cruise Critic @jstudio! I was first in FP in December and yes, it did rain sometimes but it didn't hamper the enjoyment of the beautiful islands and people! Besides, the weather was warm and we just continued to snorkel even if it was raining....the fish didn't mind and neither did we! 😁 It will rain at times all year long and I'm sure you have looked at the average rainfall statistics online. I haven't sailed on my first Windstar yet (May 2025!) so can't personally discuss the onboard experience but there are quite a few YouTube videos about Windstar Star Breeze that helped me get a feel for the ship. Have a look! Others on here will give their firsthand cruise impressions, I'm sure. Let us know what you decide! ~Nancy

This one is for Roy @rafinmd. I hope you are feeling better each day! (Almost) Midnight Sun at 11:20pm June 2024. Taken in Northern Norway from the coastal ferry Havila Castor.

I just checked online and I was quoted $53 per day....so basically still $55. Don't know exactly what the OP is referring to!?

Signature v elite drink package
oakridger replied to san diego spartan's topic in Holland America Line
It depends on what you like to drink. For me, I really only drink greater than $11 drinks when I got the Elite package with Early Booking HIA and wanted to try something new "because I could". ~Nancy -
When I was in Amsterdam in May I ate french fries nearly every day! So good, but without mayonnaise...just naked fried potato! I'll bet they were 6 euros. It seemed like there was a french fry price fixing scheme going on.....everywhere they were 6 euros!!! I hope you liked them. 😉 ~Nancy

Spa thermal suite pricing for 21 day cruise is weird.
oakridger replied to uzimmermann's topic in Holland America Line
The OneSpaWorld company runs most of the spas on cruise ships currently (Used to be Steiner) Click below for a list of all the cruise lines they operate on. Spas at Sea - OneSpaWorld -
@Keith1010 I wonder how those Sapphire Ocean Suites are selling. To me, if I were paying that fare, I would want to have the outdoor space of a balcony available. ~Nancy

@Steerpike58 Have you tried the Crow's Nest for reading, viewing and a drink? Also, on Oosterdam and other Vista Class ships I enjoy sitting by the window in the Ocean Bar to read in the afternoon and have a drink too! They should have a band there playing maybe three sets per evening that is at a volume amenable to conversation and some people dance. I like the Vista ships! Continue having a good time on Oosterdam! ~Nancy

What does your Booking Confirmation say? Look on last page and it would look something like this (except for 7 days instead of 14):

Cruise Critic does not have a DM (Messaging) function. Have a great cruise.

Wifi cheaper to book before cruise or on the ship???
oakridger replied to Lovecruising831's topic in Holland America Line
Yes. @Lovecruising831 You are posting the same questions on two current different threads. It will be more efficient and way less confusing to you and everyone if you keep to one thread with questions. Thanks! -
Soooo.....does that mean you had mac and cheese and french fries for dinner? 😉 I'm enjoying following along with your cruises Keith. It's really fun to see how much you enjoyed the Beatles Liverpool experiences!! ~Nancy

I've noticed the 3:30 time for Happy Hour recently. Seems kind of early, even for people who eat at 5pm! If I drink that early I would need a nap after and before dinner! ~Nancy

Keith, that's a little better! I can read the prices now so hopefully anyone who wants to get pressing done can have an idea of the cost. Me? I will still most likely do my own ironing in the laundry room to see who else interesting I might run into! Thanks! ~Nancy

I'll be spending a week in Moorea before boarding the Windstar Star Breeze in Papeete. I'm getting to the planning stage where I'm booking my pre-Moorea and pre-Windstar hotels for next April 2025. Hotel Kon Tiki looks great because I'll be getting on and off the ferry to Moorea and the hotel is across the street from the ferry/ship pier. Has anyone here recently stayed at the Kon Tiki and what did you think? Many of the reviews are good except they speak of late-night loud music from the club next door. Thanks, ~Nancy
