  1. Are you talking about Luxor and pyramids? If so, just have your ta add to your booking; we had it added a while back.
  2. Bill, why would you book this through Regent? I have stayed at fantastic game lodges and resorts in South Africa and would book through a TA that knows South Africa or directly with one of the tour operators; Regent greatly overcharges. Marc
  3. Excursions for next year''s GV on Voyager are out and I'm not very happy; more additional cost excursions rather than free ones. Even excursions that were free in the past are now cost added. So much for Free UNLIMITED shore excursions. Rant over, cheerleader returns. 😇
  4. Announcement of 2027 World Cruise.
  5. Dean is fantastic, I hope he has a long career with Regent.
  6. Who is Andrew? Which ship was his last contract? Is he new to Regent?
  7. One GV they told us ahead of time; last year, and again for this year, nothing announced in advance. I wouldn't sweat it; you can always cancel your excursion to go on exclusive event. Are you on Auckland to Athens on Voyager? If so, I haven't seen excursions yet. Marc
  8. Interesting development but I wonder which ships are being rerouted? Regent doesn't have any ships going through Red Sea this fall; so all three have to be Oceania and/or NCL. edited to add: found out that the three cruises are all on NCL Sky.
  9. So I have heard. One change I would like to see is to move pool bar to pool deck port side forward; where ping pong table and storage locker are located. Mariner so much larger than Voyager so shouldn't be a problem with Pacific Rim. Grandeur has a number of problems but the pool deck is absolutely fantastic with plenty of space especially shade and stage.
  10. Yes, this Aggie really likes self service buffet; and, no, in over 700 days of cruising I have never come down with norovirus (or covid) onboard.
  11. Wellington is my favorite city in New Zealand; well, outside of Queenstown. Have a great day!
  12. I just saw this news item from yesterday: (Reuters) - Royal Caribbean Group on Wednesday raised its annual profit forecast as the company benefits from strong cruise demand during the key 'wave season' and robust on-board spending. The company's shares rose 6% in extended trade after it also said that all four quarters and key products were booked ahead of the year-ago timeline for 2024. "Bookings have been significantly higher than during the same period last year, with the back half of the year up by more than the front half," the company said. The wave season is a crucial period between January and March when cruise operators offer special deals and discounts for the year. Royal Caribbean now expects 2024 adjusted earnings per share to be between $9.90 and $10.10, compared with $9.50 to $9.70per share the company forecast on Feb. 1. Analysts on average were expecting a full-year profit per share of $9.77, as per LSEG data.
  13. I just noticed a new nine day cruise on Navigator Barcelona to Monte Carlo after its trip around Africa. Still waitlisted but the listed prices are extremely high. Cruise only window only starting at $5,999 per person. With air $12,899 per person. These are astronomical fares even under normal circumstances and I don't know how they are going to fill a ship with just three months until sailing.
  14. It might be a post dry dock "bidders" familiarization tour with full Grand Voyagers remaining on board for "color."
  15. But you did post about it, on 27 December 2023 in Voyager after 20 March 2026 thread.
  16. travlr21, did the updated itinerary you received include a three day Dubai - Dubai loop 20 - 23 March? I am curious if this is the change that impacted the 38 day trip Cape Town to Athens.
  17. I understand; I just wonder about changes to already existing itineraries. By the way, any further word on sale of Voyager?
  18. Since schedule through early 2026 already published, I wonder if there will be schedule changes (as there were with immersive sailings) that will affect already booked cruises. Navigator 25 May 25 is one cruise I notice could be modified to be at Monaco Gran Prix and it is waitlisted.
  19. I actually think this is a smart decision, and when successful, will be copied by other cruise lines for the fall repositioning.
  20. I believe it was the 25th Anniversary of the Good Friday agreement; a date known in advance but Regent may not have realized it would be such a large celebration when they came out with their schedules. edited to add: I cannot find the original post so I may be totally wrong.
  21. Don't walk on continent; don't walk on islands; don't get into a zodiac; unless on expedition ship with less than 200 passengers.
