  1. Yes, the answer in your link. SMS and MMS. It says reset network settings but they should try restarting before doing that. Resetting network settings should be a last resort.
  2. Make sure Send to SMS and MMS Messaging are toggled on in iMessage settings.
  3. Same here my points are in the point history but not yet in the total. I expect they will be in the total in a day or two.
  4. The shows on Oasis class have long term contracts. They also I have been told need a dry dock happening to change over the sets fand costumes for a new show.
  5. If you are waiting for the points from the webinar it seems likely you will get them.
  6. The main shows won’t change. The headliners will change. Harmony is so big you won’t be able to do it all one 7 day sailing. I did a back to back once on Oasis of the Seas and I was able to relax about getting all the main shows in because I knew if I didn’t do one I could do it the next week. Does the Harmony do the same itinerary every week?
  7. I would like to see it a port to see it from the outside.
  8. If you return when every one else is and they are very busy there is a good chance they won’t be paying attention.
  9. All the mainstream cruise lines have the same policy. You have to be spending the big bucks for cruises to book cruise lines that don’t care.
  10. They will ask you to pick them up at the end of the cruise. One time we bought a bottle at port and they motioned to a table to turn them in. We walked toward the table but then walked away as we saw they were not paying attention. YMMV.
  11. If you were using US licensed walkie talkies you could have ended up in jail if you had been caught. You also might have interfered with legal radio services.
  12. I think there has been some confusion about what islandwoman was asking. Originally there was no mention of back to back. Then back to back and PUP were added.
  13. You can get it on a back to back after the first on the second. That is nothing new. All the hosts do that. You can't get the new status in the middle of a cruise if it is the cruise that you are going to earn the points on. If you get the status from PUP points that is something different. Seems like status would change then and the host could recognize it. You would show the new status as soon as the point are added. The host can probably do what they do with back to backs.
  14. Pre Covid I used to go on them with a group but I never booked them otherwise.
  15. They might if they could make more profit. I don't think they will th.ough as ports to take those ships are limited. It would not fit with the Celebrity brand either.
  16. I don’t usually but two places I order at a counter and they bring the order out to a table. The one of them a kiosk not a person and they bring the food to a table. Would you tip?
  17. Breaking News!!! Icon of the Seas will have a mascot. A ship dog. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2024/01/08/worlds-largest-cruise-ship-will-have-dog-mascot-lives-the-ship
  18. A few years ago I booked through the tourist desk they had inside the pier terminal they make you walk through to get to the street. We then took a taxi to the Paradise Island ferry terminal. Don't know if you can still do that.
  19. The tipping request on those machines does not have to be enabled.
  20. I didn't post a link to this article as a topic since it has not been appoved yet but there is a proposal to do upgrades at Fort Hamilton. https://www.royalgazette.com/general/news/article/20231220/revitalisation-of-fort-hamilton-gets-planning-approval/ It is still a good place to visit without the proposed upgrades.
  21. My freinds in the service industry and antidotal reports are that a lot of international tourists visit the US and don't tip. They hate to see an international tourist because of their experiences with them not tipping. It is probably circular unfortunately. Since they have low expectations of a tip they don't give them good service which likely reinforces not getting a tip from those tourists. I think the crusie ship crew will act the same as they get lists of who has removed gratuities. Tourists should follow the customs of the country they are visiting. but routine habits are hard to overcome. When I visit countries that don't have have tipping culture like the US I follow the local non tipping culture but it does not feel right. Unfortunately in the US tipping culture has gotten out of hand and tips are requested when there is no service! Pick up your own items at a convience store and a tip is requested at the register! I have no problem selecting no tip. There was a whole thread a while back where someone decided not to cruise out of the US because of US tipping culture.
  22. There are ferries to Hamilton. NCL has a free ferry you can take. Easily done on your own. There are also public buses. There is no need to do cruise line excursions in Bermuda.
  23. Royal Caribbean docks at the Falmouth port which they helped finance, Inside the gated port area is the typical shops seen at every Caribbean port and only cruise passengers. There is a taxi and bus area where there are only licensed taxi drivers with fixed rates. We took a taxi to an all inclusive where we had booked a day pass. No problem at all. There is a gate with guards to the real Falmouth. Check it out out if you don't mind the third world and being approached to buy drugs. Totaly oprtional to go there. I did go and there is a huge police prescence but most cruise passengers woud be uncomfortable.
