can non diamond guests join at c&a events
Ourusualbeach replied to jilluh's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I've never had to provide a clients address to book a cruise. It's not required to put in a state of residents either. It does ask for a zip code with the credit card payment but you are able to put in Canadian postal codes or similar codes from other countries -
Diamond benefits at restaurants

You may be thinking of the 40% discount that you get off the bottle of wine if you have the unlimited dining package. Without the dining package you will need to use a drink voucher. -
Look at other cruise lines with smaller ships.

Thanks for that update. Totally agree that with their included 2 perks their loyalty program really does not have a lot of benefits -

I had a client recently link their significant other and they had to provide proof of living at the same address...joint bill, name on lease etc. Looks like they are starting to check and enforce this since it seemed to be taken advantage of- 48 replies

That is Celebrity and not Royal where the cabin mate shares the benefits -
Balcony discounts will in 90% of all cases will not be applied automatically to group rates. The agent needs to call Royal and have the booking "special fared" to reflect the balcony discount. Just another of those "quirks" with their system.

The only balcony cabins that have a pullman in it are the regular balcony cabins that are designed to sleep 5. They have the King that splits into 2 twins, a sofabed and one pullman. These kind of cabins are only found on Allure and Oasis.

Very easy for a TA to see availability and to price
-
For group rates the balcony discounts always apply. For regular posted rates it depends on whether the secondary promo (instant savings or OBC) is more or less than the balcony discount as the two are not combinable.

Christmas sailings typically have dining options released late. Ours lately have been within 6 months of sailing or less.

On at least my last 4 cruises there has already been a plastic card in the slot. -
Should my kids have their own C&A number?
Ourusualbeach replied to Neosophy's topic in Royal Caribbean International
C&A simply screwed up. Status is not transferred from grandparent to child regardless of who pays orvwhether they live at the same address. It is only transfered between significant others and parent to child under 18. -
Complimentary Dinner for 2

The only place it would show is on the guest copy of Royals invoice. This can take 4-6 weeks for Royal to add it to the booking which is completely normal. As others have mentioned, the voucher (not really needed) will be with your cruise docs that get issued at 45 days to sailing and it will be on the page before your luggage tags. It will not show anywhere in the cruise planner or app. -
Our last cabin steward had 26 staterooms. Dont forget, they get a fraction of the $18. Moat goes to dining and "other" Thanks. Escaped the outlet mall on the way for under $200. My daughter spent the most and she's not even with us....Vikki FaceTime her from the stores. I made out okay. Thr Sperry store was closing and all shoes were $29.

No, at least I have never had any booking repriced to the current rates when I have made changes for clients. It has always been just the taxes are dropped.
-
This happens when they simply remove the change fee. It works temporarily but whenever you make a change to the booking it gets added back. The way to correctly fix it is to leave the change fee on there and apply a waiver for the same amount. The you see the $100 charge and then the corresponding -$100 waiver. That way the system will not reapply the fee.

Oasis of the Seas Deck 6 - Balcony Room question
Ourusualbeach replied to ramyalan's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I know there is a door from the aft hallway on deck 7 to the balcony by the rockwall, I just can't remember if the same thing exists on deck 6
