Not sure what DMW or SD means, but dining reservations can only be made on the app. I tried the website

We are newish to Princess as well and first time with this Medallion thing. We have made our MDR reservations. Made them as soon as final payment was made and earliest was 7. I’m ok with that, but my parents wanted closer to 6:30. Also wanted to make specialty reservations, but no where on app for me to do it. It’s not under dining.

I got my MDR reservations made, but can’t do any specialty restaurants. There is no where on the app that shows specialty. Our final payment has been made so that’s not the issue

There are tshirts with the same thing. Just a fun little thing. I see no bragging 🤷🏻‍♀️

We will be doing our second Princess cruise in October. Our first was MANY years ago. We are going because it will likely be my parents last cruise. They have been Princess cruisers for a long time and they wanted us to go with them, along with my brother and sister in law. It will be 15 nights on the Sapphire to Hawaii and back. I really wanted to do a Celebrity TA, but for some reason they pushed this one. I’m still hesitant, but going into it with an open mind. Will let you know how it goes! 😂

If this happens, do you still get the same one that was ordered? (If did a specialty medallion)

When is the last time you were on a Celebrity ship? They have delicious boiled shrimp on every cruise. We are sailing Princess in October for only the second time. So far, I’m not so sure it will be for us, but definitely going to be comparing it to Celebrity!

Just adding my two cents……..we are Celebrity cruisers. Taking a Princess cruise (only our second ever) in October because my parents wanted to and might be their last. Anyway, all cruise lines are making changes and cutbacks, I see people on Celebrity boards complaining about it every day. We have sailed 3 times this year on Celebrity and we haven’t noticed anything that people are complaining about. Maybe make a decision after sailing? It might not be as bad as you think 🤷🏻‍♀️

I always wondered the same thing. Luckily when my kids turned 18 I called Celebrity, they got their CC number and all the points from past cruises.

Although it sounds nice, we have never been on Viking. They don’t have casinos so that’s a dealbreaker for us.

While I would like the extra day, I would choose Reflection in a heartbeat.

We actually did Celebrity Millenium and it was FABULOUS! Seward to Vancouver. Stopped in Juneau. (Puppies and delicious seafood), Skagway (train), Icy Straight Point (phenomenal whale watching) and Ketchikan (don’t recommend what we did there 😂. Let’s just say it ended with a visit to the ER). We also cruised and got real close to Mendenhall Glacier and sailed the Inside Passage, which was beautiful. We will likely do it again.

Thank you so much for this report! We are doing Hawaii on the Sapphire in October so it was very helpful. We are Celebrity cruisers so this will be only our second cruise ever on Princess……Just hope the weather is warm for our sea days!

We are doing Celebrity. No casino on Viking so a deal breaker for us…..might not matter for you

Cold, cloudy sea days in July doesn’t make me feel too good about our sea days in October. We plan to spend all of our sea days by the pool, but may need to come up with a plan B.

Guess there is an advantage of being gluten free. Not having flour doesn’t affect me since I can’t eat it anyway 😂😂

Assume that lobster is on a formal night? If we have 3 formal nights is there one it particular it usually falls on? We aren’t Princess cruisers, but going on Princess in October

We were recently on board. They have Buffalo Trace, which isn’t on the list

We were just in the Med end of May to early June. The weather was beautiful. Upper 70s and sunny. Perfect!

We are new to the Medallion thing and to be honest, not really looking forward to it. We prefer cards. My husband can slip it in his pocket and I have the perfect small crossbody bag that I use for cruising that holds my phone and card. We both got clips since we don’t like lanyards. Hopefully it will clip to my purse and not fall off.

We did this exact cruise at the end of May. It was probably one of our best cruises ever. Enjoy!

We sailed Reflection 4 times between Dec 2021 and May 2023. All have been WONDERFUL. The ship is beautiful and the staff is amazing. No complaints at all
