Has anyone ever hit a jackpot on slots on the ships?

I am organizing a slot pull for our cruise. Not being a slot player, what is the best machine to use for the group?

 

Also, has anyone got suggestions for the setup?

 

I've read to not let the casino pick the machine.

Pick a machine on the aisle.

 

Can the slot pull be organized while on-board or can it be organized prior to the cruise? (I'd like to be sure enough t-shirts of various sizes are available - our last cruise only had size medium).

 

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Last night of a cruise a couple years ago. Just cashed in my chips for the trip. I only every play table games. As I was walking out, this lady was getting up from her slot machine. So I put 10 dollar bill in hit max bet won $1000 bucks.

The lady was still standing there with her husband. She was not very happy.

I gave her $100 and she didn't know what to say. Her husband said thank you. I did see her as we were leaving the next morning and she came up and said thanks.

I did well on the 4 July Getaway Cruise. 1st sea day I had to sign twice $1354 on $1 quick hit, and $1200 on Pink Diamonds. Later in the week I hit $1000 on 2 different $1 quick hits. If I hadn't gone to Alantis casino the last port I would have come home a winner. I still had a great time, the Casino staff on the Getaway were great, especially Christine. Ready too go back.

Aug 2014 on Vision of the Seas, I won an $8000+ quick hit progressive (penny machine), than an hour later hit it for $3000 in the bonus round....same machine! My husband hit another progressive two machines down for $3500 the next night. This was on top of a few five, six and eight hundred dollar hand payouts. It was quite the lucky cruise. We paid for our next two cruises (including a Royal family suite on Oasis) and walked off with over 11k.

 

This past March on Liberty of the Seas, my second slot pull of the trip won me $3500 and it was a very productive week for us both again. Can't wait for our Oasis trip in November! Anyone have a rundown on what machines are. On the Oasis?

I pretty much low roll on cruises, but was lucky enough to hit for $3002 on a 60 cent bet on a 2 cent Quick Hit Platinum on the NCL Jewel a couple summers ago.

 

Previous to that, I hit for 3 hand pays on the Radiance of the Seas, but those were all on dollar machines and quite a while ago.

 

I did get a major progressive on Banana King betting 90 cents, on one of the NCL ships I can't remember.

 

My bankroll just can't sustain maximum betting for 7 days!

On our last GetawAy cruise I won small amounts here and there throughout the week but I did come home with some ,,,....Carnival and NCL allow you to win some thats why the Casino is always so busy and booming .this one this week was raking it in ..it must have made gazilions

 

princess and .celebrity Casinos are the worst ...forget it ...they never pay .Their slots are tighter than tighter ..those casinos are mostly empty ..no one likes to lose all the time

 

A friend played blackjack big hand s all week ...even upped the max .....won some ...lost some ...won it back and then some ...lot back .....good for him ..he even helped my poor son get his loss back .Poor kid was devastated .....but he got it back ..no real wins ..but for him big loss ...thank God he got it back .thank you Danny ...

I unfirtunately fir me love Casinos ....when they pay I love them even more ...:)

 

My biggest win,...1800$ on Epic on 4 screen ladybugs ...a few days later 600$ on 4 screen Cleopatra .....my win on Epic was biggest one ever ....

I had a $2200 hand-pay on the Getaway in August:D

I was playing 10-cent Ultimate X 5play Video Poker and was dealt 4 Aces with a kicker. Two of the five hands had a 4-times multiplier....so happy to see this hand. On the same machine I had $800 for a two times Royal Flush. I really love Ultimate X.

I was playing a penny slot machine last night of our Carnival Dream cruise, my last $10.00 (of allotted spending money for the week) even against my hubby's judgement and hit the bonus...I went all the way to the top (Tower of Power Machine) and hit the "jackpot", had I been playing max bet! lol Instead, playing minimum credits I still won $680.00, max bet was $ 6,800! Oh well, it paid our Sail and Sign for the Week!! :) Win Win for me...

A few weeks ago was in Atlantic city. Playing joker poker triple face. Put $100 in lost was down to $2.50. Max bet is $3.75. On that last hand I had nothing threw away all the cards got dealt 4 3s with joker only payed $300 instead of $1000 I was so made I just wanted to spit. I played the $300 halfwY through after cursing my head off from being so dumb I hit 4 9s with joker and paid me $1000. Never ever again will I play a machine without the max bet never!!!!

normally it would make me sick, but I had only allotted $50 per day, so I wasn't playing like I usually do on land casinos, so I was only in about $300 for the week..so I doubled! I play that in like 30 minutes at home in the casinos and almost always play max bet! :)

Solid advice.....I have found that the remaining 2.50 or 1.25 plays well on single line... :) I have to say at least 3 or 4 times that last little bit got either my wife or I a royal on single line.....3 or 4 times in about 15 years....so not that often but enough that we always do it that way. Good luck on the machines....

Did win a bit a few years ago on another NCL ship, the Jewel. I think it was about $1000.00 on a quarter machine.

Just got off Star Princess. I won THREE jackpots of $2000 each in the first four days of the cruise (deuces wild VP). And then two days before cruise ended won an $8000 jackpot playing Triple Double Bonus VP (got four Aces with a 2). Luckily two different tax years! So it CAN be done :)

On MSC Orchestra a few years ago my mother was playing a penny machine don't remember which an lost $40. I was sitting next to her playing my own penny machine an won $350. We switched seats and on the first pull on the machine I had originally been playing Mom won $800 an instantly cashed out, a few pulls after (maybe 4) I won $800 on her original machine an cashed out. The entire cruise I don't think anyone won more than $900 on any slot machine, table games were a different story.

 

Not huge jackpots but paid the on board accounts an some left over.

I'm just off the Carnival Paradise out of Tampa and did very well, and saw/heard about lots of other winners. I won $320 on the Aztec sun slot machine in the afternoon of the first full day of the cruise (a fun day at sea day). After dinner and going to the show that night I went back to my usual video poker and hit a royal straight flush for $1000. I also heard about 3 or 4 people that hit royals on the ship. A guy at our dinner table hit a jackpot of $2,800 on one of the slot machines. He plays a LOT, always max bet and I have the feeling that even though he hit some really good pay outs, he lost more than he won because he gets free cruises all the time and cruises every couple of months, on average. Also, they sent him a bottle of wine to the dinner table the first and last nights of the cruise. I was happy to come home with almost as much cash as I had taken with me for my whole trip, which included 4 nights in Florida before the cruise. Guess I'll save it for my trip to Atlantic City for spring break.
