Thank you for all your kind messages.

This most certainly is a very difficult time for me and services for my DH were held today. I appreciate so many of you remembering us in your prayers.

I've not been here much lately as I have been seeing to my beloved Robert's care.

Our deepest sympathies. May your strength not desert you and your heart be strong.

Quote:

I am standing upon the seashore.

A ship at my side spreads her white

sails to the morning breeze and starts

for the blue ocean.

She is an object of beauty and strength.

I stand and watch her until at length

she hangs like a speck of white cloud

just where the sea and sky come

to mingle with each other.

Then, someone at my side says;

"There, she is gone!"

"Gone where?"

Gone from my sight. That is all.

She is just as large in mast and hull

and spar as she was when she left my side

and she is just as able to bear her

load of living freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her.

And just at the moment when someone

at my side says, "There, she is gone!"

There are other eyes watching her coming,

and other voices ready to take up the glad shout;

"Here she comes!"

This exact piece was read today at Robert's services. I found it very moving then and certainly so now. What is the chance you would quote this exact piece? Thank you for it, POA.

Sail, I am so sorry. Over the past few years I have read so many of your helpful posts and know how much the two of you have enjoyed your cruises together.

My heart and prayers are with you at this sorrowful time. May your memories be your support.

Been off of Cruise Critic for awhile and just came on.

So sorry to hear this. I had the pleasure of meeting Judy and her husband on a Maasdam sailing. Both were so warm and kind and greeted me like we been friends for years.

My prayers are with the family during this time.

I am so sad to hear of your loss, Sail. Though I haven't yet met you in person, I feel as many others do, that you are family. Your wise and wonderful advice has been so helpful. We all grieve with you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless You!
