taymaesmom Posted June 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2014 Ok, maybe this is a weird question but I'm going to ask anyway. We have booked an interior room with 2 pull downs. In all the pictures I've seen on this type of stateroom when they put the 2 twins together to make a king they always have in on either the right or left wall making one of the pull down beds right over the head of the king bed. Is there any reason why you can't ask (or move yourself) to have the beds pushed against the back wall under the fake window? Also would they allow you to take the mattress out of one of the pulldowns and put it in the floor for someone to sleep on as opposed to sleeping on the bunk. I know it would be tight but I think it would fit.
CruiserBruce Posted June 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2014 Far better chance of getting the answers you wish if you ask this on the Carnival board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=215 You might want to be specific to ship and cabin level(s). ducklite Posted June 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 18, 2014 I don't know if it would be allowed or even possible, but if I asked my cabin steward to do that much work, his tip would have a couple zeros on the end over and above the regular service charge. cb at sea Posted June 19, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 19, 2014 Many folks put the pullman mattress on the floor.
runner15km Posted June 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 19, 2014 The best arrangement is to separate the floor twins and place them directly under the bunks.
Rare Keith1010 Posted June 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 19, 2014 I would post this on the Carnival Board. Keith
taymaesmom Posted June 19, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted June 19, 2014 Many folks put the pullman mattress on the floor. Good, I am so glad to hear this, my oldest daughter just doesn't want to sleep on top and if she can sleep in the floor she will be so happy. Even when we stay in a hotel she often brings an air mattress, she likes being in the floor.

Even when we stay in a hotel she often brings an air mattress, she likes being in the floor. you can have the two beds seperated on each side along the wall. this way you can put the mattress on the floor between the two beds. Keeping the beds together will use up your floor space and there will be no place to put that mattress. Make sure you let the cabin steward know what you are doing so he doesnt make the bed up-- and just sets the stuff out.
