Where on the Crown is a good place to read and relax

Really needing some down time and was wondering where on the Crown is a nice quiet place to read and just relax??

Deck 7 has an outdoor promenade that goes all the way around the ship. There are some chairs out there near midship. I saw some folks out there reading. The only distraction is the ocean.

There is some seating outside Adagio/Sabatinis on deck, and I generally like Adagio as a quiet space during the day.

During the day many of the lounges are not used and often provide a quiet place to read

Terrace pool - quiet, a pool nearby...as well as food!

If the Crown has Skywalkers on Deck 18 aftthat is good place to read and watch the world go by.

Check out outrigger bar and the aft pool area, spent a lot of time there on our last 4 Crown Princess cruises watching the ships wake.

When I was on the Crown, just over a year ago, Skywakers was designated a quiet reading zone during the day.

 

It is nice and quiet for reading and when you tire of that you can sit back and watch the ocean go by-if you don't drop off to sleep.

That sounds perfect. I love watching the ocean. Love the ideas. Writing them down so I don't forget. I always forget Skywakers!

Every place mentioned is good. I love Adagio bar in the day. Quiet and fabulous views. I get an iced tea in the buffet and take it up to the bar with me and do my anti-social (;)) reading.

As said, Skywalker's or the Adagio Lounge. I prefer the Adagio Lounge since it has more comfortable seating and there's a door to the outside deck if you want to go outside for some reason.

Another option for in the morning is Crooner's. There are always people sitting around by the windows reading there.

A lot depends on time of day. My advice is to grab your book (or Kindle or whatever) and go wandering. In the mornings, I've found most of the lounges to be good for spreading out and reading. For me, it just depended on which lounges had the least distracting piped-in music.

 

Later in the day, I'd probably gravitate toward the outdoors, various pools and such or the Promenade deck.

Adagio is my favorite place on the crown. Most of the time there is no one there not even ship personnel. Second favorite it in the day time is Skywalkers. Again, very quiet.

If there are no loungers I put two chairs together sideways.I like the fresh air because do not have balcony.Its a little heaven there in the afternoons in the warmer climates:)

Just by the sanctuary there's an adult only pool, and lots of loungers just up from there. Lots of sunshine, and no screaming kids...

When we sailed on Crown earlier this year we were surprised when we "discovered" Adagio. It was so quiet and even in the evening it seemed like most people didn't know it was there. It was such a relaxing spot.

I agree! In addition, if you want to pop out for some sea air you just have to walk out the door in the back.

Skywalkers is usually quiet - except in the mornings when Knitters and Natters gather there. You might have to move away from us if you need absolute quiet!
