Rare trbarton Posted July 1, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted July 1, 2015 Yes....I saw that thread as I started it but I wanted to hear from someone that actually bought one, what they thought of the watch and if they received a discount what did they actually pay after the discount. The only response was that someone knew of someone that bought one but didn't know exactly what they paid. Thus my question again. Tom:)
Rare azbirdmom Posted July 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2015 (edited) Well this is a ladies version and just imagine it is larger for the men's. I paid roughly $155 after the first two day and elite discounts were applied. And recollection is that the men's version was just north of $200. bob brown Posted July 1, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 1, 2015 I see that it is a Citizen Eco-drive. An excellent watch. Surprised to see that...I thought that they would have made a much cheaper watch to get large volumes of sales....
Putterdude Posted July 1, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 1, 2015 I like sailing on Princess but I wouldn't think of buying a watch with their logo on it...even if its their 50th logo.

steffysmom Posted July 1, 2015 #13 Share Posted July 1, 2015 Does anyone know if you can purchase the 50th anniversary items (watch, shirts, bead, mugs, etc.) other than on a princess ship ? I'm not sailing until the spring of 2016 and I would like the bead for my chamilia bracelet. Thanks !
Rare trbarton Posted July 13, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted July 13, 2015 I was on a BVE on the Golden and was surprised to see the shops opened. I inquired about the Men's 50th Anniversary Watch and the clerk opened up the case and showed it to me. Looks real nice with the Princess 50th Anniversary Logo on the face. It's $225 for the men's watch. Tom😎

I agree, but it would make a great giveaway prize for shipboard contests or slot pulls in the casino! I heartily agree with both of the above posts but... Princess doesn't normally give out prizes that are worth more than $0.50 - $1.50 at the most. Keychains, lanyards, and water bottles are more the Princess style when it comes to prizes.

Rare Coral Posted July 14, 2015 #20 Share Posted July 14, 2015 (edited) I bought a Citizen Eco Drive watch several years ago and it is amazing! One of the best watches I have owned. I would probably buy it - it is attractive. It would represent where a good portion of my income went for 20 years :) Edited July 14, 2015 by Coral

Thrak Posted July 14, 2015 #23 Share Posted July 14, 2015 I bought a Citizen Eco Drive watch several years ago and it is amazing! One of the best watches I have owned. I would probably buy it - it is attractive. It would represent where a good portion of my income went for 20 years :) I own three watches: A Citizen Eco Drive, a Roven Dino (love this watch but need to find a new bracelet as it's "special" and no longer available), and a Rolex Oyster Perpetual. The Eco Drive is my everyday watch and is more durable and more practical than either of the other two. My wife gave it to me for Christmas years ago and it keeps perfect time and is a great everyday watch. I don't think you can go wrong with a Citizen Eco Drive watch! You can bet your hind end that I will be wearing the Eco Drive and not one of the others when we visit Cartagena!
Rare Coral Posted July 14, 2015 #24 Share Posted July 14, 2015 And if that's anywhere near what they charge in Australia, it is a bargain. $400-500 here for an eco-drive. I got this one for less than $200 several years ago - which included first night discount and elite discount: http://www.citizenwatch.com/en-us/watches/watch-detail/?model=EW0894-57D I had so many problems with watches before - I hated wearing them and rarely did. I often was allergic to the band, or every time I would go on a trip, the battery would die. I loved the look of the Fossil watches but they drove me crazy. Heck, I even tried Swatch hoping I wouldn't be allergic to it. This eco-drive watch I have worn every day with no problems and thankfully no changing of batteries.
