I thought Princess always allowed many different types of OBC's to be combined?? Is this a new trend?

 

Nothing new:

Princess does allow combining OBC's from different sources (Mil, Share, TA and Rate Code Promo). However you can only have 1 Rate Code per booking so an OBC from a previous offer is replaced by the current offer OBC .

That's the killer.

 

Yes, non-refundable deposit may kill the deal but those Jan sailing dates are beginning to come close to Final Payment and the penalties involved anyway.

This close most know they are going or not.

At least it's not one of those "After Final Deals ?"

So if I'm already booked on one of the cruise that goes on sale, and I determine that a better deal is offered, will Princess permit me to cancel then quickly rebook to get the new deal?

 

I see nothing about New Bookings Only , so yes since the dates are not yet @ Final.

However , if you are already booked with one of the previous Promo Sales lately, (some were pretty good) :-) with goodies like OBC , Prepaid tips , Dinners, Drink Pkg , etc.) , you will lose anything attached to that Promo Sale.

If we find a better deal on our TA cruise on this new sale offer, I understand that we can call Princess and rebook. We Have booked flights, transfers and post cruise hotels with Princess. Will these carry forward to the new booking or will they be cancelled? Thanks

You would not be rebooking, just changing your existing reservation to a different Rate Code . Everything else remains the same .

Thank you for posting this MCC retired. I googled Princess sale Oct 6, 2016 and found one called Sun Drenched Deals. I then googled that and it gave me a link to a fare chart. (I believe this is info for travel agents).

 

For our cruise the price listed on the fare chart was the same, but it did include mention of some OBC. Didn't say how much, so I went to the Princess site last night and it showed those amounts under special offers. It was $50 for inside and OVs and $75 for balcs- suites (if memory serves).

On our 10 day cruise(balcony cabin) the OBC promo is $150.00 a person.

And our fares went down also $150.00 Big savings for us.Travel agent was able to refare it and got us the OBC yesterday. Officially the sale starts on Oct 6th but Princess already put it in their computer system.

I hope others are finding some good deals with this one but I'm not seeing much anything special on the cruises I watch! Noticed that all these "specials" have been online for at least a week now, no changes today they just call it a name now.
