supervisor27 Posted October 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2015 I want to bring my own non alcoholic drinks onto the ship. How many am I allowed?
Rare 1025cruise Posted October 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2015 The answer depends on the cruise line you are sailing. With that being said, most cruise lines do not allow rolling coolers.
paul929207 Posted October 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2015 Which line are you sailing with. Some have few or no restrictions on non-alcoholic beverages. Others are very restrictive.
Bonnie J. Posted October 10, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) Again, what ship? Carnival now only allows cans, no bottles of anything but wine. What non alcohol drinks would you bring? You can ask for any drink but say no alcohol. They have ice tea & lemonade all day in the buffet. There is a punch they serve in souvenir glasses that they will make with no alcohol too. I don't know about coolers but have seen many bringing 12 packs of soda aboard. Edited October 10, 2015 by Bonnie J.
Krazy Kruizers Posted October 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 10, 2015 Welcome to Cruise Critic. We could help you if you would give us the cruise line you are sailing on. Most of the cruise lines no longer allow you to bring rolling coolers onto the ships.

GTO-Girl Posted October 10, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) Royal Caribbean - enchantment by the seas We were on the Enchantment a couple of weeks ago and I didn't see anyone with a rolling cooler. You may want to carry a small amount of soda and/or water in your carry on luggage. Just remember rooms are not ready until 1:00pm so you will be dragging this stuff around with you until then. Have a great cruise..... Edited October 10, 2015 by GTO-Girl
Rare Keith1010 Posted October 10, 2015 #8 Share Posted October 10, 2015 RCI allows you to bring on board soda and water according to their web site. Keith
cb at sea Posted October 10, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 10, 2015 (edited) Must be something new...they never officially allowed ANY beverages to be brought onboard...but they did tend to overlook a few sodas or waters. Not cases, tho!! NO rolling coolers....if you want a small cooler to take ashore, it needs to be a soft-sided packable one. Rare Keith1010 Posted October 10, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 10, 2015 I might have misread the writeup and now think you can't bring non alcohol beverages on board. Q: Can I bring liquor or non-alcoholic beverages (from home or from a port) onboard? image: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/s.gif A: Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor, fortified wines or non-alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use on boarding day or while in port. Alcoholic beverages seized on boarding day will not be returned. Guests wishing to bring personal wine and champagne onboard may do so only on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom. Additional bottles of wine beyond two (2) bottles that are brought onboard or any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports of call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the sailing. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Guests who violate any alcohol policies, (over consume, provide alcohol to people under age 21, demonstrate irresponsible behavior, or attempt to conceal alcoholic items at security and or luggage check points or any other time), may be disembarked or not allowed to board, at their own expense, in accordance with our Guest Conduct Policy. Guests who are under the permitted drinking age will not have alcohol returned to them. Note: All guests must comply with TSA guidelines for transporting liquids. sail7seas Posted October 10, 2015 #12 Share Posted October 10, 2015 Why not bring a limited about on embarkation day and if you want more during the cruise, get it in a port along the way?
Langley Cruisers Posted October 10, 2015 #13 Share Posted October 10, 2015 I might have misread the writeup and now think you can't bring non alcohol beverages on board. No, you never could on RCI, although small amounts of such are usually not turned away except during Spring Break cruises.
GTO-Girl Posted October 10, 2015 #14 Share Posted October 10, 2015 At Port Canaveral they were still letting people "carry on" small amounts of soda/water. But no more putting luggage tags on cases and checking them At least this was my observation...
