rakes5 Posted January 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Did you see this recent CC news article that talks about additional benefits In other Royal Caribbean news, the line will offer free food and drink to passengers who book Central Park and Boardwalk view cabins on all three Oasis-class ships (Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas). Starting November 2016, cruisers with views of Central Park will enjoy lunch for two at Jamie's Italian on Harmony of the Seas or Giovanni's Table on Oasis and Allure of the Seas, a free bottle of wine upon arrival and special perks in the Casino Royale. Passengers in Boardwalk-view cabins will receive lunch or dinner for four at Johnny Rockets, a soda beverage package for two and a private session on the ships' 38-foot tall rock climbing wall
Thoie Posted January 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2016 While I agree that's what the article says, it sounds very strange to me. I wonder is there something missing from the article.

AmandaKaye79 Posted January 28, 2016 #6 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Why...in those cabins on those particular ships  My guess would be they are having trouble selling them. I've seen huge drops on those categories of balcony and they are usually the cheapest ones to book already. Privacy isn't great, people across can see in on you as well as everyone walking in CP or BW can look up at you sitting on the balcony. No views of the ocean either. A small plus would be that you can see aqua from some of the BW balconies.
micmacmissy Posted January 28, 2016 #7 Share Posted January 28, 2016 That's weird- we just booked a Boardwalk balcony for our kids (we will be across the hall in an Oceanview balcony) and the Boardwalk balcony was only $40 cheaper total than the Oceanview! Even my TA was surprised at the pricing...which led me to believe there was demand for those Boardwalk balconies...

mpoole3 Posted January 28, 2016 #9 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Since it's starting in Nov 2016 when Harmony comes to the USA. My guess, is they will have a harder time selling the boardwalk balcony's. Most of the ocean view is going to be blocked by the new Abyss slides. Based on the images and videos posted......we believe we will still have a good ocean/Aquashow view even with the slides. We're taking the positive view that the slides might make it even better. Getting the Coke package and free lunch is a nice bonus from Royal.

I'm keeping hopeful too...We have the four aft cabins #9729-9723 booked for HOTS in March 2017...even if it's (the view) not so great the low price I booked these cabins for when the schedule came out is well worth it ;)

The only thing that's wrong with this article is that it states for the Boardwalk View and Central Park View cabins when according to Royals website it includes the Boardwalk and Central Park Balconies http://www.royalcaribbean.com/harmonyoftheseas/staterooms/ Edited January 29, 2016 by Ourusualbeach

OfTheSeasCruiser Posted January 29, 2016 #16 Share Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) It said CP view not CP balconies. But as I and Ourusualbeach have already posted, the article is wrong and these perks actually apply to the neighborhood balconies. Ken at the beach Posted January 29, 2016 #17 Share Posted January 29, 2016 But as I and Ourusualbeach have already posted, the article is wrong and these perks actually apply to the neighborhood balconies. LOL I have 2 Boardwalk balconies on Allure in Jan 2017 and 2 on Harmony in March 2017. Hope to be able to mix and match the 2 packages as someone posted on the other thread. 2 dinners for 4 at JR's and 4 soda packages is too much for us. Rare mcatmcat Posted January 29, 2016 #18 Share Posted January 29, 2016 These rooms sometimes are cheaper really close in price to interior. Add the crown and anchor discount and it's a nice price. I don't really care about ocean balcony since I'm rarely in the room anyway.

Thanks. Was thinking up upgrading to the Royal Replenish package and saving the already "free" $8 would help.

tinkertwo Posted August 29, 2016 #23 Share Posted August 29, 2016 Anyone able to verify this yet for already booked cruises? Or just on new bookings? We are on November 27th Oasis sailing. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk We were already booked when this offer came out. I called and verified it and also had my TA call and verify just to compare what we were told. Its for all cruises after Nov.5th. I even have two cruises booked for October 2017 and they told me it is on those as well.
suzyluvs2cruise Posted August 29, 2016 #24 Share Posted August 29, 2016 Yes, once you are onboard you can upgrade for the difference in cost. Since this is a new perk from RCI for booking Neighborhood balcony cabins I'm curious if it can be upgraded. Guess we'll find out more in November.
