Sure you can but really, you might be more comfortable in another pair of shoes. You won't be carrying another pair at all? Even dark sneakers?

You should be prepared for other answers here.

Chances are you'll want to shower and clean up between hiking and going to dinner in which case, you'd be more comfortable in lighter shoes. But if you don't want to or have time to get cleaned up, you can wear them to the dining room.

You certainly can... just not with shorts, a sleeveless t-shirt, bathrobe or swimsuit!;)

I could pick out 100's of people that nice hiking boots/sneakers would be a upgrade from thier current shoes worn in the MDR. Have you seen some of the outfits?

They ar OK as long as you do bot wear them with the wife beater T shirt and reversed camo hat. Then the clothing police might have something to say. Only one with the hiking boots should pass muster.

Some funny answers have been posted. Don't assume the poster is male. :)

You didn't state day or evening. Doesn't really matter as others have said yes you can. If you wear shorts and t-shirts to hike in you can wear them in the mornings and afternoons in the MDR. Enjoy your Cruise and your meals in the MDR.
