Allure of the Seas Live March 13-27 -- High Tides and Great Vibes

Recommended Posts

We were back on for the ship around 11:45 getting prepped for that soon has become one of Owen's favourite things to do on the ship. All the crew that we've met on the ship have been great with Owen. He really has been spoiled, not to mention we have been too.

Speaking of spoiled, we are dragging a little something home, for a fellow CCer. One set for us and one for them. I can't wait to be floating in our pool at home this summer, with this type of life ring holding our drink. Miami Vice anyone?

A little gift awaited us from the casino in our cabin, but it wasn't in the form of money. Remember that Brinks truck from turnaround day? Well they certainly didn't leave us anything from it. This coupon was new to us, as we've never seen it before.

After dinner at the Windjammer, we went to the kids casino. You can see Owen is whipping Lisa's butt. The ball is actually in the air for this picture and it's just about to about to drop into the hundred point ring. She's competitive, and he killed her. He loved it.

If you are following along with periscope you know that I went to the 70s dance party, as well as to Jazz on Four. Earlier we did make a stop at the comedy club, while Owen joined the kids pirate club for the night at Adventure Oceans. Typical to form one comedian was better than the other.

It is always amazing how many people do crazy things at the party for cheap trinkets. The good thing is since Lisa and Owen were in the cabin following on periscope I was left holding the camera. Therefore no one could see what I was up to to get my glow ring.[emoji6]

Two quick photos leftover from yesterday.

We've concluded that the ship must have got a miss order of straws for their drinks. They're so long that you could practically poke your eye out. The good thing it's not a wavy sailing is there be lots of people with eyepatches on.

I like this photo for two reasons. One, it shows the beautiful full moon that we've been sailing with the last few days. The second reason is in hot tub to the left filled with boiling humans. It is the base consumme for to tomorrow's human soup of the day.

The Jamaica patty is oh so delicious. We discovered them when we took a culinary tour in Falmouth. We did find a whole in the wall place in Nassau to get them this past February and that will be the only reason we go into Nassau on our next cruise in July. I highly recommend them to anyone who has not tried one.

Thanks for the periscopes and the reviews I'm cruising vicariously through you. If you get a chance we are in Grand suite 14330 which is being recategorized as an aqua theater suite (A4) I'm trying to get a look at the balcony after reading the reviews I'm a bit nervous about the cabin. I'm trying to decide if I should move up to a SL or stay where I'm at, any info you could provide would be helpful. Enjoy the remainder of your cruise as I will be enjoying you reporting on it . Smooth Sailing

Thanks for the kind words. It's great to have you following along.

Deck 14 is the upper and smallest balcony. I'm at the ATS watching Goosebumps tonight so it was no problem getting a photo. I'm not sure if you are port or starboard however my photo is the port side.

Personally I'd go SL as deck 17 is much quieter compared to the regular floors.

Have you or anyone in your family done the zip line? Wondering how long the wait is and is it as scary as it looks?

Not scary at all. My Dad did it when he was 88. He did it on a port day and had a 5-minute wait.

Hey, thanks agian for letting us come along on your cruise. I was looking at your last periscope and I noticed one of those "please excuse the mess signs". What used to be there or do you know what it will be? Or maybe my eyes were just deceiving me.

I plan on Also Scoping from the Allure on May-15-2016, however I will be a newbie Scoper, won't compare to your Scopes Andrew. But will do my best to let others see the great ship, and experience the Cruise as you have Done for Us. You do a Great Job Andrew!!!

I actually did my first scope tonight, as a test run. I have never done it before, so to get the understanding, of how it works.

Andrew....thanks for your great pics and blog. Not intending to hijack your great thread but have pictures to share about the cabin mentioned above.

We were in 14730 on Oasis. Pics below. Balcony is on the small side and split. Part off bedroom, with 2 charis and a table, and part off living room with a view to Aquatheater if you're standing at the rail. Nice cabin but a long walk down the hall. Tub isn't easy to get in and out of and if you're taller you have to duck your head.

Thanks for mentioning it. The Guess store that was at that location on the RP was closed as of last Saturday. They are moving the Next Cruise desk to that spot from its current location beside the Schooner Bar.

I didn't even notice that last Saturday. Seems strange that they are taking away a prime retail location. On Oasis they just expanded the location beside the Schooner bar.

They literally had the construction hoarding up in the time frame that we did the B2B process of leaving the ship and getting back on. They were removing tile Sunday afternoon and other than smelling some heavy duty construction adhesive one day I haven't really heard much noise relating to this mini construction process.

If you gamble was the casino smokey? On Liberty a year and half ago if was honestly hard to breathe when we walked through. Hoped they have a better ventilation system on Allure.

Funny you ask as your question relates to part of what we did last night. We did spend a small amount of time at the casino, and the smoke to me was minimal but Lisa notices it more. Lisa put her $20 into the penny slot machine and we played max bet, after all we are highrollers.

I didn't even get my room key into the machine, let alone my $20, and Lisa already had hit a jackpot. Once the machine counted off 4600 credits I decided not to even put my bill into it.

MDR dinner on the balcony tonight. After much contemplation our order was ready. Our food arrived and we enjoyed a nice supper.

A few night time sightings around the ship. A couple that are ready for the prohibition party.

I had a hard time finding a Mexican name word generator today so we will have to pass on it. I will share with you one of my dirty little secrets, I love the Mexican Word of the Day. Google it, especially if you want a good laugh.

Plans for tomorrow.

Wake up. Ride advanced. Go to Playa Mia. We have never been to Playa Mia before but it looks great for Owen. We usually hit Nachi Cocum, but it looks a bit boring for the O man.

Somewhere in there include eat and drink.

Looking forward to Playa Mia. Been to Nachi several times, but never Playa Mia, so I'll be interested in your comparison between the two.
