carmel Posted April 8, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2016 Quick question.... CCL has a laundry room where you can iron an article of clothing. Does RCCL have the same thing? I've only ever needed to iron something on my Carnival cruises and not my RCCL ones so I don't know. Thanks!

Sorry...No RCI ships fleet wide don't have any type of DIY laundry/ironing...This is the one feature I loved with PCL.
jagsfan Posted April 8, 2016 #4 Share Posted April 8, 2016 RCI offers dry cleaning and pressing services for a fee. Carnival is not alone. Princess and Cunard have laundry rooms, too. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
carmel Posted April 8, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted April 8, 2016 Darn that is disappointing. It was so convenient to freshen up my clothes that I changed into for dinner. I guess I'll bring along a gallon of wrinkle release.
cb at sea Posted April 9, 2016 #6 Share Posted April 9, 2016 You can iron before you pack..and you will look better than 99% of the other passengers...or send your pressing out to be done!

If necessary, just smooth the fabric with your hands.

I have never needed to send something out to be pressed either. Perhaps when we do a B2B at some point in the future, but so far NO NEED at all. puggleperson Posted April 9, 2016 #15 Share Posted April 9, 2016 Pretend you are sailing on Holland America....go with the wrinkled look.:D Heheh funny :) If you feel you have to iron you can always bring a small steamer iron. That was it's not a fire hazard.

reallyitsmema Posted April 10, 2016 #23 Share Posted April 10, 2016 I wish I had written down the formula someone posted on another thread for DIY wrinkle releaser. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app Just Google it, many different formulas out there. It is basically just liquid fabric softener mixed with water. Some people prefer vodka and water. Just make sure you test the fabric you want to use it on, some fabrics end up with spots on them.
39august Posted April 10, 2016 #24 Share Posted April 10, 2016 I learned about vodka and water when I toured backstage on an RCI ship a few years ago! Had never heard of this trick before. Evidently, that formula also freshens as well.
