And I want to thank you John, for recommending Capt. Mateboer's book. Downloaded it yesterday, started reading it this evening and haven't laughed so hard in a long time. It was so bad that I had to pause to recover a bit before turning to the next page. (The chapter that did me in was the one on fly fishing.)

We will be cruising in Jan. 2017 on the Rotterdam and the Zuiderdam. I would like to know who the captain will be and also the hotel manager if possible. Thanks for all the information that you provide.

I'm not familiar with the others, but we sailed with DRM Bagus on the Prinsendam in June & July. He transferred from the Prinsendam to the Maasdam shortly after we got off. He is really fantastic! You will like him.

I have been away from the HAL boards for awhile, so I am not current on everything that goes on here.

 

Can someone please tell me just what it is John does while on contract. I sail on the Zuiderdam on 11/9 and if he is still on board will have to look him up.
