All inclusive drink Package

Can you get the All inclusive drink package just for the sea days or do you have to take it for the whole cruise?

Is it OK for just one person in the cabin to take it or do both passengers need to get the AIDP even if one person does not drink?

Thanks for your help.

AIBP is for entire sailing, you cannot pick and choose which days. They are also only sold in advance or on day one or two of sailing, and it is not prorated if you buy on day two - you pay the entire amount regardless... Packages are sold on a per person basis, and can be bought by just one in a cabin, etc. There's no requirement for everyone of age in a cabin to purchase it.

They are per person, no sharing and for entire duration of cruise. There's an excellent spreadsheet on this forum with virtually every drink and price listed, very helpful to determine if a package suits you... It's in a thread called Princess Beverage Package Evaluator.. A quick search brings it up.

Be aware that Princess doesn't allow sharing of the package. If you are caught sharing you will lose the package and be charged for every drink you had and all future drinks.

The only way to safely "share" the package is to purchase a bottle of wine. Any bottle under $100 is 40% off and you are free to share it with anybody you like.

One of the rules is that you can only buy one drink at a time - this includes water so if you want to take two bottles of water for your time off the ship....plan ahead.

Are you suggesting they share bottled water ?????:D

Since the sticker is on you ship card they would have to change the card on port days and again on sea days. Plus how could they be sure you would change the card on non-paid-for days

For the whole cruise, even if purchased on 2nd day and thereafter.

Charged for every drink you had...........

How do you know this

Sharing is going on all the time, I have witnessed it since the package was launched.

Because I've witnessed it a few times, usually it's a couple sharing a package, although once it was a family with father sharing drinks with an underage son. Bartenders catch on, then call security, security watches it happen, then escorts the couple to guest services and have the package rescinded and drinks charged to account. The couple on my last sailing returned to the bar later on, complained about the charges being put on their account, then berated the bartender for "telling on" them - until security escorted them to their cabin for the rest of the evening....
