Rare Cruise Junky Posted November 13, 2016 #27 Share Posted November 13, 2016 Oh very tempting. We've been looking for a great Spain/Portugal cruise for a while. If only the Canadian dollar didn't suck, 19 days on Marina would be perfect.
Chris86 Posted November 13, 2016 #28 Share Posted November 13, 2016 All very exciting! We are looking to reserve november 2018 european cruises. Im new to Oceania. Is it common for certain categories to fill on the launch day? We had very little luck trying to get something for 2017 :( Back in july this year

Flatbush Flyer Posted November 13, 2016 #30 Share Posted November 13, 2016 Someday, perhaps, Oceania will do a circumnavigation of Sicily or, at least, add multiple Sicily ports to an extended Med cruise.
Winters Gate Posted November 13, 2016 #31 Share Posted November 13, 2016 The Nordic Adventure with the fjords and scandinavia on Marina 14th of July 2018 looks great, I think we will go for that one!

2552phxcrzr Posted November 14, 2016 #35 Share Posted November 14, 2016 Just curious really. When O says bookings open on the 16th, is that @ midnight EST for online bookings? At 8:00a EST? Or is it an arbitrary time.

Or is it an arbitrary time. I do not know the exact answer but I do know that dining reservation open after midnight Eastern time - probably as they are computerized. It could be the same for booking. I should add that TAs, especially those with high volume O bookings, may have access even sooner (or may put in request for specific cabins). I say may, because I do not know this for a fact.

nyfeds Posted November 15, 2016 #40 Share Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) We are interested in a Nov. 2018 cruise and hope to book tomorrow. Booking so far out, will Oceania honor new incentives offered on a 2018 cruise booked now that might come up in the future, prior to the sailing? Would we need to cancel and rebook, potentially paying a penalty? Thanks! Edited November 15, 2016 by nyfeds

After final payment it's a different story - at best you may get some OBC instead of lower price (if lower price is offered) - or not. For cruises booked onboard best price is guaranteed even after final payment.
buggins0402 Posted November 15, 2016 #43 Share Posted November 15, 2016 Speaking of November 2018 ... I mentioned earlier that the Transatlantic on Marina, which was in the brochure, was missing from the web site on opening day. I just checked the web site, and there is an itinerary there, but it's not the same itinerary. Instead of Lisbon to Miami, it is now Lisbon to Rio. The page today has the Rio itinerary, but still has the Miami map. I assume it's the map that is wrong. https://www.oceaniacruises.com/transatlantic-cruises/lisbon-to-rio-de-janeiro-MNA181128 And final note, the per day fares are sharply higher in 2018, compared to 2017, on every ship except for Sirena. (Sirena is lower because it's mostly out of Miami in 2018.) So maybe if you were holding out for 2017, it's a good time to book, but maybe wait and see for 2018? Interesting...the voyage map still shows Miami. I'm interested on where she heads from Rio.

You get $100 OBC on the cruise when you book and best price guarantee (as well as lower deposit?) Check with your O ambassador on your next cruise.
