caribill Posted February 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2017 The CCL Corp stockholder OBC benefit has been extended to cover sailings through July 31, 2018. This benefit is usually extended at this time every year. For details, go to http://www.carnivalcorp.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=140690&p=irol-sharebenefit and click on the shareholder benefit link. Thrak Posted February 24, 2017 #5 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Although it is "always" extended it's good to know it has been "actually" extended. Taking things for granted is not a really good idea. That credit is important to us. :)
NavyVeteran Posted February 24, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 24, 2017 We do take it for granted, but it is good to see it officially extended. If they ever decided not to extend it, there would be several thousand people immediately selling 100 shares each of CLL. That couldn't be good for the stock price. We each don't own much, but I suspect if you add up all of our 100 share investments it would be fairly sizable.
Colo Cruiser Posted February 24, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Great news. You never know when they might decide to end it.

sfaaa Posted February 24, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Great news. You never know when they might decide to end it. Unless CCL is losing money, shareholders will start a riot at AGM if this benefit is taken away.

caribill Posted February 24, 2017 Author #17 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Approx 27 people. There are about 751,870,000 shares of CCL as of January this year, so 1% would be about 7,518,700 shares. That would represent 75,187 shareholders who have 100 shares each.

LDVinNC Posted February 25, 2017 #19 Share Posted February 25, 2017 How far in advance can the stockholder benefit be processed? I'd like to do it now even though our trip is not until September...so I don't forget!
flamomo Posted February 25, 2017 #20 Share Posted February 25, 2017 How far in advance can the stockholder benefit be processed? I'd like to do it now even though our trip is not until September...so I don't forget! I believe it has to wait until after final payment date. I have never tried to do it any earlier than that. Just put a reminder memo in your computer calendar, so you will get an email giving you the reminder!! That's what works for me.

matadams4u Posted February 25, 2017 #24 Share Posted February 25, 2017 It is three months. My statements are quarterly so I submit after the statement closest to the cruise. So I will use my June statement for my September cruise. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Thrak Posted February 25, 2017 #25 Share Posted February 25, 2017 I use Scottrade. I just go to my Positions page and copy the info at the top and paste it into a Word document. It shows my name, the date, and my shares of CCL. A fairly recent change to the Scottrade site removed the name and only showed the account number but a visit to my account preferences changed that to show the name again and not the account number. Quick and easy and I can send in a current verification that is definitely shown to be within the 90 day time frame.
