Regent Seven Seas "SuiteGuru" - quick reviews & ratings of Regent Seven Seas suites!

Recommended Posts

Hi Bill,  I should have been doing more research on the Regent site.  Just found you.  DW (Cheryl) and I have been on Regent cruises before Covid, was booked on 2021 World Cruise which got cancelled and are now booked on the 2024 World Cruise.  We currently have PH 907 on the 2024 WC but would like to move further back.  PH 830 is available and we have asked our TA to put it on hold until we can make a final decision.  Our issue is that it appears that the 830 - 836 area is above the Casino.   Is this correct?   If so, has anyone had any noise issues from the slot machines directly below these cabins?

I’ll need to hope that someone has some hands-on in these cabins as the spreadsheets are kind of thin in that area.  The only review on that side was for 834 and there was no mention of noise.  But I don’t know from personal experience…

Jean, I couldn't find a ship named 'Splendour' so I added your review to a different ship called 'Splendor'.  🤣

Thanks for your input.

Voyager Suite 750 May 2023

Quiet location, unobstructed views, no noise although some rattling of ceiling panels, probably common on this age of ship. Would book again. Full Bath and shower in good size bathroom, walk in shower. No usb ports, fridge struggles to chill items so order ice.

To submit your rating and comments, please use the following template and paste the information in a reply - I'll paste the information into the master listings as time allows. Remember, the more folks contribute, the more useful this will be!

PLEASE BE SURE AND SPECIFY WHICH SHIP YOU WERE ON! I could probably figure it out but it's a LOT easier to know up front!

Bill, This is for Explorer, thank you!

Sea-jay - just off Mariner and we had cabin 832.  We never had any issue with Casino noise but you do hear the crew when they are downloading or uploading the life boats which were below our balcony.  Not enough to be bothersome.  The casino on Mariner is very tame and the aft area is all slot machines, not gaming tables so not raucous at all in our experience.  One advantage of the 832 penthouse is it has no pillar between the bed and sofa area so it feels even more spacious.  From what the butler said, the starboard side penthouses all have that pillar.  That being said, the room itself is very worn and tired.  Many guests were unhappy with the condition of the ship.  It is a lovely ship that has gone too long without dry dock and refurbishment.  Looking at the upcoming schedule, it is hard to see any down time which would allow for the TLC she needs. Andrea D was asked about plans to refit and she did not have a plan for it.  Many of us subsequently cancelled our WC plans on Mariner (2025 and 2026 for us).

Mariner, 1114, 1 bath, walk-in shower, no noise, absolutely; quiet, near pool deck & La Veranda, really liked this suite

Bill, on May 25 were you at Schwaben House in Greenville? We spoke with someone while waiting to be seated about Regent. After we got home, I thought it might have been you. Jan

Here's a quick overview of Splendor's Suite 957, a starboard Concierge D.

Fantastic layout that feels very spacious. 332 SF interior, and 132 SF balcony. The interior is probably larger than many hotel rooms we have stayed in, and because of the excellent storage and thoughtful design, feels even more spacious than it is. Enormous walk-in closet with ample hanging, drawer and cubby storage. Very nice bathroom with dual sinks, lots of counter space, and a full run of storage behind little rails above the sink. Full tub and separate shower. The couch is really a love seat, so it's not intended for napping, but this particular one does feature a pull-out sofa. We have not checked the comfort of the mattress, but the fact that it's a pull-out does not impact the sitting comfort of the couch. The very deep balcony includes two adjustable loungers, a dining-height table about 30" in diameter, and a chaise longue. There is no balcony above, only a partial overhang from Prime 7, so it is less shaded than most other balconies on the ship, but this likely also gives both the balcony and suite a more open feeling. We don't like the sun, but never felt that we were getting too much sun and also still felt like we had complete privacy.

No noteworthy noise issues. The suite is directly below Prime 7, and no dining noise comes through, though you can hear the staff move chairs periodically for 5-10 minutes around 10:30 pm, presumably while they're vacuuming. It's not bothersome in the least. The door to the suite is also across from a crew galley or similar - you can periodically hear glasses clinking in the hallway - but the suite itself is so well insulated that you never hear anything while inside, so I would not hesitate to book any suite on the ship that happened to be near a crew access.

Would we book this one again? Absolutely.

Mariner suite 876.

Very convenient location for us, 3 up to LA Verandah and 1down to the boutique, we always use the stairs and this, shower only, suite fulfilled our needs perfectly.

Should you travel from Rome in the direction of Istanbul a starboard cabin would be a better choice, better views and more sun, maybe.
