If at all possible, could you attach pictures of the Cruise Compass? I like to put a schedule together of the evening entertainment. I've got the shows booked already, but some (like Love & Marriage, salsa class, slot tournaments, etc) aren't listed in the planning guide so I always like to get recent Cruise Compass' so that I can put those on the schedule as well. So much to do on the ship, I like to be organized. LOL.

THIS. IS. AWESOME! We sail this Sunday on Allure. So I am closely watching this. Your day one is making me reconsider my decision to skip the drink package. Seems like you really make it work. Fingers crossed you make it to the end of the cruise.;p

Thank you so much for the awesome reports. We sail on the Oasis in July and this is getting me excited! Last time we went on a cruise, we did get the drink package, but I was debating it for this time. But now I'm thinking otherwise! I'm pretty sure I got my money's worth last time, but this will be 7 nights instead of 4!

Pretty relaxing day today. We still did not receive Soda cups or anything related to Eat/Pay/Dine or welcome amenity for being emerald. Stopped by guest services and he had no idea what I was talking about as far as the welcome gift - I will have to stop by loyalty ambassador desk later. Guest services said they would make sure the wine and soda cups would be in our room by this afternoon. Just stopped bs I in the room for a quick stop and they are here. I am just about to take the wine up to deck 12 to leave it for someone on our roll call as I am on the drink package and will not be needing it!

 

We did not make it to the meet and mingle because along with not getting anything we were supposed to get with our room, we also did not receive any invitations to the top tier event or cruise critic M&M :(

 

We also did not get our emerald pins. I will ask for one when I go see the LA later.

 

I think all of these issues are related to the late cabin assignment.

Let's try this again! My last live review was kind of a disaster so I thought I would try again!!

 

We originally booked this cruise through Club Royale a few weeks ago to sail out on Oasis on 4/30. Last week, we found the Allure at a similar price and because we have sailed on Oasis 3 times in the last few years and found out through our roll call that there was going to be a big group on the Oasis sailing, we decided to call Club Royale to see how much it would cost to cancel Oasis and switch to Allure

 

They were so nice and let us change without a penalty. We even kept the same booking #. We booked an interior guarantee that was actually $10 less than our interior on the Oasis was supposed to be. They told us there would be no refund of the difference which of course we would not have expected.

 

We did not get our assignment until Friday morning 4/28. We got assigned a Central Park Balcony on deck 11. I'm excited to try Giovanni's for lunch and I am planning on giving the wine away to a fellow roll call member as we are on drink packages and do not drink red wine.

 

 

We got an email that there was a coast guard inspection and not to arrive until noon. We got to the port at around 11am because we had to Return our rental car at 10:30. We ended up boarding at approximately 11:30.

 

Speaking of rental cars, we often use Alamo when cruising out of Port Everglades. We have always dropped off/picked up at our car at FLL and taken a shuttle to the port. The shuttle is no longer available. Apparently they have opened a new location at the port. When we dropped off a car today and ended up having to take a cab to the port. It was an extra $20 expense we were not expecting. If you have rentals booked you may want to switch to the new location which does offer a shuttle. Our return reservation is from Alamo at the airport but they said we will be able to pick it up at the new location with no issue

WOW! I feel like I'm still on the ship. We got off yesterday with a refundable $61 on our bill. DH doesn't drink and I brought my own preferred wine on board. RC makes life so much easier and nicer by not charging corkage.

 

Enjoy the week. We did. Waiting for our next cruise in 7 weeks. :D

 

BTW, your Emerald freebie is two small bottles of water. It should be in your cabin along with a plate of cookies.

OMG I just went to their homepage to see the video. The birthday party took over the Boardwalk and Aqua Theater. They even changed the banners on the light poles to Happy 4th Bday.

 

OP, you made the right move! Go find that video and toast to a smart decision!

Thank you, no need to check for Knob Creek that was the back up should they not have Makers Mark, thank you so very much for checking that for me!

 

I am glad you got your cups and Ruffles in Park Cafe I be sure to take a couple each day for a late night snack lol

Thanks. We did not get it. The only thing in our room was two bottles on Evian which I will not drink but likely still be charged for lol

I am currently booked on the Allure in 2 weeks. I did purchase the deluxe drink package and I see it includes fountain soda. Can anyone confirm that they give a souvenir glass to use at the soda freestyle machines?
