Boytjie Posted May 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2017 It is a late-night - and likely silent - sailaway as the Prinsendam is scheduled to set sail for Amsterdam at 23:00/11:00 PM EDT according to HAL or 21:00/9:00 PM according to the Port Everglades schedule - subject to change as always. Rare Scrapnana Posted May 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2017 Thanks, Peter! That's an early sail-away for me in comparison to the Juneau ones!

arzz Posted May 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2017 I do not see Prinsendam on the web cam - is she hiding or just not there yet?
Happily@Sea Posted May 6, 2017 #7 Share Posted May 6, 2017 I do not see Prinsendam on the web cam - is she hiding or just not there yet? If you are looking on Port Everglades [she is out of the view - to the left], you will not see her. Go to Fort Lauderdale SW. I am hoping you found her by now. She was off-shore at 5 am, not yet close enough to stay and watch.
arzz Posted May 6, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 6, 2017 Thank you for the info. We are to board her soon for 28 days. Just checking to be sure she was in! :D

Happily@Sea Posted May 6, 2017 #10 Share Posted May 6, 2017 They've adjusted the SW camera so we have a closer view, with the two ships - one at either side of the picture.
kelleherdl Posted May 6, 2017 #11 Share Posted May 6, 2017 If I am not mistaken that is the USS New York tied up as well. Dennis

Rare Vict0riann Posted May 6, 2017 #14 Share Posted May 6, 2017 Thank you, Peter. I doubt if I will be here (we have house guests for another week, and then I will be reporting on our cruise on Zaandam around the Horn), but I do wish Prinsendam a tres Bon Voyage! :)

St Pete Cruiser Posted May 6, 2017 #16 Share Posted May 6, 2017 Prinsendam seems to leave late as I think she needs to load heavy provisions on the Ft Lauderdale/US ports. When you think about it, the old girl did 68 days around South America, then did 55 days to the Med and back, and now leaves for her European summer not returning until Nov! She will be in Bermuda on the 9th, whether we see her go by or not - depends on how many ships are docked at King's Wharf. The schedule says two ships, so we will probably see nothing - with the panning camera and large ships. She should be transiting before 8 am AST and after 5 pm AST. Rare Scrapnana Posted May 6, 2017 #20 Share Posted May 6, 2017 Nice view on the webcam. If she leaves on time I will likely miss it. Rare POA1 Posted May 7, 2017 #22 Share Posted May 7, 2017 USS New York has been there all week, I think. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Yes. It's fleet week, albeit with an abbreviated fleet. Just two USCG ships and the New York. The rest of the ships got deployed. The Fort Lauderdale Air Show is this weekend, but I don't know if there are any webcams along the beach that can see it. Of course all the lights means she is not ready to go, so it looks 2200 is about right - at this time.
