Which dock in St. Thomas?

I believe that the contract signed by RCCL (not RCI) includes Celebrity. A quick look at port schedules for this year shows only Crown Bay being used, and the Silhouette was certainly in Crown Bay when we were there in mid-March on the Allure.

In the past, all of our Princess cruises stopped at Crown Bay, & all of our Celebrity sailings docked at Havensight. However, this year Princess docks at Havensight, and Celebrity visits Crown Bay.

When we were on the Silhouette in March and we were docked at Crown Bay we were told by Celebrity cruise crew and St Thomas merchants that Crown Bay had contracted with RCCL and Celebrity for the next 7 years at $7.00 a passenger cheaper than Havensight. Would love to go back to Havensight!

Silhouette, March 2017, we docked at Crown Bay. I have also heard stories that Royal signed a deal to bring all it's ships, including ~X~, to Crown Bay. I hope part of that deal includes serious infrastructure improvements. That place is the pits.

We docked in Crown Bay on the Equinox back in June. I have to say, I was not impressed with this location, and much prefer the Havensight location. Crown Bay was very industrial and it was very noisy sitting out on the balcony while docked.

The VI Now web site has a port calendar. It shows Equinox using Crown Bay through September. The November onwards calendar is not yet available.

We are doing the "St. John's on Your Own" excursion on Summit in November. I'd prefer Havensight (West India Co.), but it doesn't really matter so much since the tour includes a private ferry ride from the cruise port to Cruz Bay.

I found a complete port schedule here

and here

http://www.viport.com/seaports/vessels.html

It does appear that X is using Crown Bay (Monsanto Marine Terminal) for all sailings, at least through Sep 2018, the end of the port calendar.

September's schedule does not show at all on either of those web sites. Through August one then October to September 2018 on the 2nd link.

We sail in September 2017.

As is so often the case, it all depends on the luck of the draw. In March, we had an idyllic view from our balcony looking towards Water Island:

That is strange that September 2017 is omitted. The vi now dot com (omit the spaces) web site shows this for September 2017:

Thursday - 28th

Celebrity Equinox - 2,852 Crown Bay
