AidenL Posted August 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Just wondering if theres any allowance against Tuscan, etc, if travelling in Aquaclass, as Blu comes at a premium?
Rare ORV Posted August 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Not sure I understand your question, do you mean do you get a discount because you're not eating in Blu that night? If that's the question I'm pretty sure the answer is no.
Beanb41 Posted August 14, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Why would or should there be?
Rare chemmo Posted August 14, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Discounts in specialty restaurants are based on supply and demand not what room you are in. If you are flexible on the day/time you want to dine you will usually get some discount. On our last two cruises Murano's has been well booked and few discounts offered (especially at the end of the cruise)... We know this from others as we set up our dining requirements pre cruise... We now usually have speciality dining as part of our package but prior to this we would prebooked a 3/4 evening package which came at a discount and avoided 'negotiations' once on board. May be worth you investigating...
Alakegirl Posted August 14, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Those who have Blu or Lumina as their assigned dining do not receive any "discount" or "allowance when they decide to dine in a specialty, any more than those in the MDR would. Yes, in essence you are paying for two dinners that night. Thats the way it works.

Orator Posted August 14, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Just to throw a wrench into the discussion sometimes they do on cruises where blu is very busy they might offer specials in a designated specialty restaurant for those who normally dine in Blu
Rare keesar Posted August 14, 2017 #8 Share Posted August 14, 2017 The first night in Blu is typically very busy and can be chaotic. They often offer special discounts on the first night in the Specialty Restaurants for Aqua Class guests. This can range from 30-50% but it is a one night only deal. jelayne Posted August 14, 2017 #9 Share Posted August 14, 2017 Just to throw a wrench into the discussion sometimes they do on cruises where blu is very busy they might offer specials in a designated specialty restaurant for those who normally dine in Blu We have had those same offers of discounts when waiting to be seated in the MDR. Discounts when offered are to fill under booked specialty restaurants and they really don't care which dining room you are assigned.
cruzzzinma Posted August 14, 2017 #10 Share Posted August 14, 2017 The Blu maitre 'd or hostess usually can get discounts in the specialty restaurants for you especially if you are flexible. Just ask, politely. We ask for the best they can do and typically don't care which night but want our reservation in the 6:30-7:30 timeframe.
