Blackduck59 Posted March 24 #8601 Share Posted March 24 I had a lovely butter chicken pie from Glenwood for lunch yesterday. Very tasty, nice curry flavour not too spicy.

ilikeanswers Posted May 20 #8604 Share Posted May 20 For any lovers of Red Rooster they have released a chicken and gravey pie partnering with FourFour 'N Twenty. You can get them at Red Rooster or get a four pack at Woolworths: Red Rooster Woolworths Chicken and gravey is usually a winning combo, I would give this pie a try.

It was part of an African Dinner of 14 different dishes. There were some very interesting dishes but the venison pie was one of the best.

Rare Jean C Posted May 21 #8612 Share Posted May 21 I usually have a bit of tom sauce on the side with a pie, but only use it when it comes to eating the crusty edges - the fillings are far too delicious to mask with sauce 😋 Had chicken and leek for lunch, from a local cafe 🥧

ilikeanswers Posted May 23 #8616 Share Posted May 23 Ended up trying the Red Rooster pie, after such a hectic day last thing I wanted to do was cook🥱. Gravey was nice but not enough chicken for my liking. Good crust though.

Nice, the Elmsbury ones from Aldi are practically the same. Slow cooked Beef.

You get a chicken schnitzel and cut it in half. You then get a piece of bread and put gravy on it and sandwich it between the 2 schnitzels. Your way sounds good as well.
Rare arxcards Posted May 23 #8619 Share Posted May 23 I had a sensational beef, cheese & bacon servo pie for breakfast this morning - you have to get in early before the crust dries out. It appeared to be a local Newcastle area pie from Thompsons bakery at Charlestown.
