Tall-Cruiser Posted December 24, 2017 #526 Share Posted December 24, 2017 It isn't one giant room. The drawing on MSC's site is not accurate as far as the layout. I went into 11002 two days ago. I don't have pictures as the room was not part of the tour and the only way I could get in was to agree to not take them. When you get to the end of the hall' date=' the door is on the right side, not straight ahead. There is a hallway that was pretty wide straight to the living room. The first door on the left was the walk through closet. In the closet was a door to the bathroom. I didn't go in there, but my friend did. I forgot to ask if there was just a shower or a bathtub too. The second door on the left is the bedroom, which you have seen the picture. At the end of the hall is the very large living room and straight ahead is the balcony. The balconies all appear to be the same size as the other balcony rooms, just because of the metal decor on the side of the ship, some are a bit more obstructed than others. I had this room booked but switched to an SJ3 instead. I'm pleased to see that the living room is on the side instead of the bedroom.[/quote'] Thanks for the update on 11002. Did the balcony have room for a lounger. And secondly did they take room away from the balcony by putting up a balcony divider at the very front of the "cove" thus making the balcony smaller. Overall, what were your impressions if you can say. Thanks For some of us, it's too late to switch cabins. So hopefully it will be ok. It is interesting that they were not allowing people to take pictures of 11002. Makes one wonder why. Thanks again.
Tall-Cruiser Posted December 24, 2017 #527 Share Posted December 24, 2017 This makes me VERY happy! This is 9057, a B3 cabin, with LOUNGERS ON THE BALCONIES [emoji1][emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Forums John - Very nice balcony with the loungers. Congrats and enjoy your cruise.:)

I asked for special consideration to view the room and to do so, I offered to not post pictures as the room was not completely made up. Please don't read anymore into this than what it is. The balcony is not smaller than a regular balcony. They did not take away space. I don't recall if there was a lounger out there. As I said, I was originally booked in there and I chose to change when I thought the living room and bedroom were reversed. I was pleasantly surprised by the layout. I wish there was a door to the bathroom from the bedroom, but it is what it is.

You gave your word not to take any pictures and honored it. Much respect to you for that. I would have done the same thing. It's good to hear that you were pleasantly surprised. I booked my suite based on the published dimensions of the cabin and balcony and knew when I did it would be a one bedroom. I do wish the balcony size was as advertised but hey it is what it is. Hope you enjoyed your time on Seaside. Many thanks again.

I believe that because of this people’s expectations were raised extremely high! I still can’t believe how inexpensive my family of 4 paid for this cabin and how many things are included!! Would I like the room to be more luxurious? Of course but people please remember how much more a comparable sized room would be on rcl or ncl. My family and I stayed in a haven 1 bedroom suite on the getaway a few years back in the same location . The balcony was small and in the hull. It did have wicker chairs and the room was extremely well appointed and the bathroom was amazing!! But we paid well over double! I do agree msc handles this extremely poor and I pity the families that we’re not on cruise critic to discover they are not two bedroom! Otherwise I can’t wait!! dexddd Posted December 24, 2017 #531 Share Posted December 24, 2017 ...just to make it easier...(13002) Glad to see the bunk but in the room with the slant there the person in the top bunk would have more room in a coffin.

Two Wheels Only Posted December 29, 2017 #542 Share Posted December 29, 2017 I got THIS LINK from SNJCruisers in another thread. Tons of photos taken by Cruise Critic. I HOPE that some of these staterooms will get some of the missing items before I sail.
mafig Posted December 29, 2017 #543 Share Posted December 29, 2017 I don't like the balcony where the loungers are. They barely fit and it appears that as soon as you sit down, you can't see anything. If there was more room, if the balcony was deeper, it would be better. (at least for me). I am sure they couldn't take photos of all the cabin categories as access may have been limited to some. I will board tomorrow and will share details of my cabin. Fostelo Posted December 29, 2017 #545 Share Posted December 29, 2017 Hi everyone hope you all had a wonderful Christmas [emoji319]. I have a super family plus balcony on seaview now as far as i can gather these are just normal fantastica balconies with connecting doors and all this b1 b2 b3 is confusing me a little so can anyone please point in the right direction as to what my room will look like[emoji4][emoji1303]. calgaryhhr Posted December 29, 2017 #546 Share Posted December 29, 2017 Thanks for the front corner suite pictures. I have one booked for Feb and was really curious as to what MSC did with it. I do agree with the other poster that they seem to have messed up the layout a bit. Seems like a lot of waste space in that one corner where the family has set up their crib. Overall it is a good size though and the balcony looks nice.
creusamedea Posted December 29, 2017 #547 Share Posted December 29, 2017 Is it worth it to get the S2 instead of a balcony? The size of the room and balcony doesn’t look much bigger in the pictures, but the descriptions say they are twice the size. Tall-Cruiser Posted December 29, 2017 #550 Share Posted December 29, 2017 TW - Thanks for adding the photo here. With all that good space in the front balcony they don't even have a small table to put food and or drinks on? I think it would be good to have there.
