luckyinpa Posted December 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2017 royal leaving dec 20 had a glitch just now. main page said inside start at 829 and when i went to choose my own room there was 329 pricing. clicked through and got to final page totaling 658 and it say includes the 260 in taxes etc. i was just curious if i actually booked and paid in full if they would have to honor it. Rare Tak8 Posted December 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Only one way to know for sure - book it. Although that pricing may already be gone.
CI66774 Posted December 2, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2017 Book it and see. However, Princess has the fine print re: errors so they don't have to. I just did a dummy booking and can't find what you're referring to.

pablo222 Posted December 3, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 3, 2017 royal leaving dec 20 had a glitch just now. main page said inside start at 829 and when i went to choose my own room there was 329 pricing. I don't think it was a glitch, just more of the fire sale prices princess had about a month ago. I recall a balcony on that sailing being $499 for 10 days. At the time, people were talking about a mini-suite on a different sailing being $250 for 10 days, so $499 didn't seem that exciting. I think the people who paid real prices for these cruises are really going to be upset.
fishywood Posted December 3, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 3, 2017 There are other active threads reporting super low last minute deals that do not display when first selecting the date, only when clicking through to cabin selection. So no error and no worry about Princess honoring the rate. Until it's gone. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
cloveygrl Posted December 3, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 3, 2017 It’s not a glitch - it’s special pricing tied to your account most likely on specific sailings that they are trying hard to fill. People have been getting pricing like this consistently.
Croptop Posted December 3, 2017 #11 Share Posted December 3, 2017 Man! I gotta stop planning my vacations years in advance and get in on these last minute deals. :)
Homosassa Posted December 3, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 3, 2017 We received the same type of offers from Princess, HAL and other cruise lines that we have sailed on in the past after the hurricanes hit the caribbean in September. The dates offered were mainly in October, November and December. People were panicking and canceling their cruises because of port damages and uncertain itineraries or not booking at all. We would have jumped on at least one of the offers if I was not going through the process of cataract surgeries.

It's hard to say. I received one ONCE. It was for the CB TA in September. Unfortunately, the timing was not right. I have not received any since even though many on the board have. luckyinpa Posted December 3, 2017 Author #16 Share Posted December 3, 2017 new issue. one cruise with 2 ppl says 424 PP but when i turn to 3 people it says 1024 PP the offer clearly stated 274 PP for 3rd and 4th so i guess this is a computer glitch? i just wanted to click through and see about pricing with air. they had great deals on air i couldnt find elsewhere
frugaltravel Posted December 4, 2017 #17 Share Posted December 4, 2017 I think the people who paid real prices for these cruises are really going to be upset. Why would they be upset? They booked before final payment was due, had a wider choice of cabins, were able to book flights well in advance and were able to plan for weeks/months. Those booking now for last-minute type sales don't have any of those benefits, thus one reason they are so cheap. For those who might be upset, they could always wait until after final payment for cruise deals too :D

If ever pressed about it I answer "we got a fair price." and say nothing more.

They had a choice of great cabins, received lower air fare (if they fly), etc. Booking early has advantages; booking late has advantages.:)
Rare geoherb Posted December 4, 2017 #20 Share Posted December 4, 2017 I don't think it's a glitch--just a great price offered to select past passengers. We received a similar offer that included some 5-day cruises that started at $49 per person (plus taxes and fees).
jdvmd Posted December 4, 2017 #21 Share Posted December 4, 2017 We just did a back-to-back on the Regal, Nov. 13-15 and Nov. 15-19. Booked an inside guarantee for $29 a person for the first cruise and $49 a person for the second one. Was upgraded to a Deluxe Balcony.

Rare dickinson Posted December 5, 2017 #24 Share Posted December 5, 2017 Today I booked the Royal Dec 30 10 day cruise. I assume you have played in the casino before as casino rates have been dirt cheap (so I hear). We have not. We did get a good rate though just not great. It was good enough for us to take this cruise last minute. With the air sale we got a fantastic rate on round trip air. While in the process of booking it the computer said the rate just went down $18 so my price was lower! Never saw that before :) BTW - we will probably play a small amount in the casino so maybe someday we will get a casino rate!
luckyinpa Posted December 5, 2017 Author #25 Share Posted December 5, 2017 we played maybe 60 or 80 through the casino. even a non gambler could do that! the TA from princess just wrote back to me and confirmed this is double occupancy only. the dec 30 you mention was on my radar if i had 3rd person but now that i cannot. its probably off. also i priced out that 14 day on dec 20. 500 thru my offer, and like 3500 otherwise. crazy!
