royal leaving dec 20 had a glitch just now. main page said inside start at 829 and when i went to choose my own room there was 329 pricing. clicked through and got to final page totaling 658 and it say includes the 260 in taxes etc.

i was just curious if i actually booked and paid in full if they would have to honor it.

I don't think it was a glitch, just more of the fire sale prices princess had about a month ago.

I recall a balcony on that sailing being $499 for 10 days.

At the time, people were talking about a mini-suite on a different sailing being $250 for 10 days,

so $499 didn't seem that exciting.

I think the people who paid real prices for these cruises are really going to be upset.

There are other active threads reporting super low last minute deals that do not display when first selecting the date, only when clicking through to cabin selection.

So no error and no worry about Princess honoring the rate. Until it's gone.

We received the same type of offers from Princess, HAL and other cruise lines that we have sailed on in the past after the hurricanes hit the caribbean in September. The dates offered were mainly in October, November and December.

People were panicking and canceling their cruises because of port damages and uncertain itineraries or not booking at all.

We would have jumped on at least one of the offers if I was not going through the process of cataract surgeries.

so are these regular offerings that i may receive during the year as well. i realize probably not summer but the other 3/4 of the year. this is incredible pricing . i normally never would fly to a cruise but i would for these pricing

also for the casino pricing do they pay their taxes and fees

Taxes, Fees & Port Expenses§ included is what it says.

It's hard to say. I received one ONCE. It was for the CB TA in September. Unfortunately, the timing was not right. I have not received any since even though many on the board have.

new issue. one cruise with 2 ppl says 424 PP but when i turn to 3 people it says 1024 PP

the offer clearly stated 274 PP for 3rd and 4th so i guess this is a computer glitch? i just wanted to click through and see about pricing with air. they had great deals on air i couldnt find elsewhere

I think the people who paid real prices for these cruises are really going to be upset.

Why would they be upset? They booked before final payment was due, had a wider choice of cabins, were able to book flights well in advance and were able to plan for weeks/months. Those booking now for last-minute type sales don't have any of those benefits, thus one reason they are so cheap.

For those who might be upset, they could always wait until after final payment for cruise deals too :D

This is why you should NEVER talk about what you paid for a cruise once you are onboard.

If ever pressed about it I answer "we got a fair price." and say nothing more.

I don't see why they should be upset. They had a choice of great cabins, received lower air fare (if they fly), etc. Booking early has advantages; booking late has advantages.:)

Today I booked the Royal Dec 30 10 day cruise. I assume you have played in the casino before as casino rates have been dirt cheap (so I hear). We have not. We did get a good rate though just not great. It was good enough for us to take this cruise last minute. With the air sale we got a fantastic rate on round trip air. While in the process of booking it the computer said the rate just went down $18 so my price was lower! Never saw that before :)

BTW - we will probably play a small amount in the casino so maybe someday we will get a casino rate!

we played maybe 60 or 80 through the casino. even a non gambler could do that!

the TA from princess just wrote back to me and confirmed this is double occupancy only.

the dec 30 you mention was on my radar if i had 3rd person but now that i cannot. its probably off.

also i priced out that 14 day on dec 20. 500 thru my offer, and like 3500 otherwise. crazy!
