Janie1229 Posted February 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Hi, I am considering flying into FLL the day before our cruise (less stress about getting to ship on time) and exploring Las Olas Blvd - been years since I've been there. Any suggestions for a decent but economical hotel walking distance to Las Olas Blvd? Then we could take a taxi the next day to board ship. Thanks! Zach1213 Posted February 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2018 Prices will change depending on your dates. One thing I like to do is go to Google Maps, zoom in to an area I like, and just type "hotel". It'll them let you plug in a date and price range and pull up everything right there on Google Maps. Early Retiree Posted February 19, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2018 We stay at the Reverside Hotel on las Olas. Walk to restaurants and shops, but not the beach. Sent from my SM-T813 using Forums mobile app
Cruise a holic Posted February 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2018 We stay at the Reverside Hotel on las Olas. Walk to restaurants and shops, but not the beach. Sent from my SM-T813 using Forums mobile app We booked that hotel for our March cruise! Heard nice things about it- but people say stay in the new wing. The rooms in the old wing smell musty according to some reviews.

capriccio Posted February 20, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2018 The Hampton Inn Downtown/Las Olas Area (250 N Andrews Ave) is not on Las Olas like the Riverside (which would be my first choice) but it is within walking distance. They advertise a free airport shuttle and a 'low cost' shuttle to Port Everglades.
BlueHerons Posted February 20, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2018 The new Element Hotel is scheduled to open August 2018 and is walking distance to Las Olas. http://www.starwoodhotels.com/element/property/overview/index.html?language=en_US&propertyID=4211 My first pick is always the Riverside. BlueHerons Posted February 20, 2018 #11 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Wow - that looks like it will be a great addition to the neighborhood! Yes, very excited about the rooftop bar! The views up there you'll be able to see from The Everglades to the Atlantic Ocean!
