Clarea Posted February 15, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 15, 2018 What can we get besides drink package/upgrades or specialty dining and excursions? Can we use this in casino? Gratuities, shops on board, spa. Getting a cash advance for the casino might cost you 5%. Krazy Kruizers Posted February 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2018 Don't know how much shipboard credit you have, but a good chunk of it will go for the gratuities.
mom2girls29 Posted February 16, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted February 16, 2018 Don't know how much shipboard credit you have, but a good chunk of it will go for the gratuities. We always prepay those. We have a few hundred and didn't know if you could use it in the casino. I was thinking of the hubby as I could care less about gambling.
leaveitallbehind Posted February 16, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2018 (edited) All on board purchases are charged to your room account, and the OBC will be applied to the amount on your account. It is not discretionary and will be applied as the charges are made. Cash advances made for the Casino typically carry a service charge as Bob indicated. Rare Keith1010 Posted February 25, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2018 You can use it for excursions that you book while on the ship, fitness center classes, salon and spa, on board shopping purchases, gratuities just to name some of the things. cb at sea Posted February 25, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2018 I would cancel something you've 'prepaid", and book it on the ship to use up the OBC...no sense letting "free" money go to waste!
helen haywood Posted March 4, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 4, 2018 You can use it for just about anything except purchasing a future cruise deposit. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
GUT2407 Posted March 4, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 4, 2018 We once had $1.24 left over. Mrs Gut still has a grizzle that we should have found a way to use it.
helen haywood Posted March 4, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 4, 2018 I once had a small OBC left on NCL. I went down to the shops determined to spend it!! I found two pens that were slightly more money but at least I wouldn’t be leaving any. I forgot there was a discount on NCL merchandise...the total wound up being the exact $5.49 I had!
