WashyWashyHappyHappy95 Posted April 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2018 If you don't want to drink your Platinum voucher bottle of wine with dinner, can you take it to a bar to open later to avoid having to pack a corkscrew?
sverigecruiser Posted April 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2018 They will open it for you. No corkscrew is needed if you wants to open it yourself.

Rare BirdTravels Posted April 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2018 There is a limited number of bottles on the “fee wine” menu. Twist the top off at any bar.

Rare graphicguy Posted April 6, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 6, 2018 Matter of fact you can have the wine with dinner, and let your waiter re-cork it to drink at a different time. So, to answer your question....yes!

I'd just as soon get a 2nd bottle of sparkling wine than a white or a red. Will they do that for you?

WashyWashyHappyHappy95 Posted April 8, 2018 Author #22 Share Posted April 8, 2018 How tolerable is that Rose?
Flatbush Flyer Posted April 8, 2018 #23 Share Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) How tolerable is that Rose? Berlinger white Zin is an embarrassment to California winemaking. Nonetheless, it sells to the koolaid set and keeps profits flowing. BTW, the list shown above is a fairly depressing collection. If you want an outstanding California rosé, look for estate offerings made from Mendocino and Sonoma Pinot Noir. IMO, the finest example currently available would be from Martin Ray in Santa Rosa. Total Wine does carry some Martin Ray wines. If they've got the Rosé, make sure it's the "estate" one. Figure about $25-30 retail.
