maryjohn Posted April 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted April 17, 2018 does anyone know if the Radisson Blu is the only hotel within Manchester Airport? We will be arriving by train the night before our flight and will need a hotel. The last time we stayed in the .radisson but it was quite a trek from the railway station to the hotel. Just wondered if there was a better option. Our flight is really early hence the need to stay.
Rare LHT28 Posted April 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2018 you could also ask on the British Isles forum https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
Rare Essiesmom Posted April 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted April 17, 2018 You might ask this on the Ports of Call board for Europe. If you are doing a fly/cruise, you might also ask on the board here for your cruise line. EM
Velvetwater Posted April 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted April 17, 2018 We are staying in the Clayton Hotel before our flight this summer. It was around 80 squid. Its a few hundred metres from 2 of the terminals and has a free shuttle.

compozer Posted April 18, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2018 We loved the Radisson Blu. We took the train from Glasgow to Manchester. It was so easy. Got off the train, walked to the elevators, went up and there was the hotel. I checked it out that night and in the morning, walked a short distance and checked in for our flight. Only thing was there is not much for restaurants close. That was two years ago.
jocap Posted April 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Radisson Blu is the only one actually in the building; Crown Plaza and Clayton Hotel are very close, and have shuttle buses...we've stayed in C P and it was fine. You'll have to check with the hotels, or those hotels which are further out, if they have shuttles which regularly stop at the Hub. You'll have to go up a floor to reach the road from the railway platform. We stayed at R.B. recently, and it was fairly simple to reach the Hub, but one of the travellators wasn't working which made it difficult with the cases. We ate in Terminal One on our 2nd night, and had breakfast at a coffee house.
