What's your favorite and least favorite Royal Caribbean Ships? (List 3 or less in e

Recommended Posts

My wife and I have only done Carnival, we will be doing our first Royal cruise on the Anthem next year. You both are on opposite sides, could you tell me why you made this choice on the Anthem?

You are going to love the Anthem.... it’s one of my favourites and I’ve done a few... good choice for your first one. We’ve done Carnival too and you can’t compare the class... Anthem is a super classy ship. We spent a lot of time in the Two70 lounge/entertainment area... they have things to do there every day.

I’m so envious. Enjoy your cruise. I can’t wait to sail the Anthem again

Favorite--Serenade, did southern Caribbean on her 3 years in a row.

Least Favorite--Allure, did one Caribbean cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale and stopped using RCCL for 5 years. Yes, it was that disappointing for me.

The question mark...Independence. We board in 32 days for our first Royal cruise since the Allure. They had the better itinerary and price so I am taking a chance.

In the late 1980’s there was no ship in same class as Soverign of the seas, it was ship that made me a huge fan of rccl.

Favorites:Liberty because she is closer to us and has the lovely suite/Pinnacle lounge and because we now know so many of her crew; Jewel because she is so beautiful and when we sailed her, the WJ food was great; Navigator because she is beautiful and because of concierge Nadja. Least: the Oasis class ships.

Suite lounge on Radiance class ships are most beautiful, in my opinion.

Ironically I wasn't a fan of Sovereign when I was on her but I think when I went on that cruise she was due for a drydock. I went on Majesty years later and loved it and it is basically the same ship. Think it was just the timing of when I went she looked tired. [emoji6]

Favourite

Independence of the Seas

Explorer of the Seas (Pre latest dry dock)

Least Favourite

Explorer of the seas (post latest dry dock)

Curious what went wrong after drydock? I went on Explorer in 2006 so my experience was probably pre drydock as well...

Agree on Monarch, but it’s probably because she was my first cruise ever. Looking back now, though she was great for her day, the cabins were tiny and facilities nothing compared to today’s mega ships, including my current favorite, Oasis.

Least favorite: Anthem.
