Having all mused about dogs on board ship…how do we feel about them on planes….l would personally love it! 😊

I would be a bit concerned if it hit a patch of turbulence, and all those dogs without seatbelts went hurtling round the cabin.

Just trawling through the television channels to see what delights are on this weekend….

I do miss some of our old shows…clean and entertaining…now it’s all bad language, violence and intimacy I’d rather not watch…

The classic Hollywood movies..Sunday night at the Palladium…I’d even suffer Blind Date these days!

😊

I finally found a way to display the sandals we got on our visit to Borobudur earlier this year.  For those interested.....

"Borobudur is a 9th-century Mahayana Buddhist temple in Magelang Regency, near the city of Magelang and the town of Muntilan, in Central Java, Indonesia.

Constructed of gray andesite-like stone, the temple consists of nine stacked platforms, six square and three circular, topped by a central dome. It is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and originally 504 Buddha statues. The central dome is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues, each seated inside a perforated stupa. The monument guides pilgrims through an extensive system of stairways and corridors with 1,460 narrative relief panels on the walls and the balustrades. Borobudur has one of the world's most extensive collections of Buddhist reliefs.

Borobudur is the largest Buddhist temple in the world and ranks with Bagan in Myanmar and Angkor Wat in Cambodia as one of the great archeological sites of Southeast Asia." Wikipedia

They are displayed on either side of a wall hanging from China given to us by our daughter-in-law's grandmother on our visit to Nanjing for our son's wedding in 2009.

We loved our visit to Borobudur in 2018 and had perfect weather for the climb to the top.   We had a hair raising ride back to the ship escorted by the "tourist police" who led us for the several hour race on both sides of the road through all the traffic.

Just a pity it was then annexed by CocaCola, which spoilt it for me.  A bit like 'just one cornetto'.  I have to admit to a virtual hatred of Coke; tried it once many years ago and cannot understand why anyone drinks it, or any of the others with a similar flavour.

I must admit to liking coke on ice with a slice of lime……the cornetto song l hate as our local ice cream blasts it out….it pierces one’s ears…having said that my late DH sang it to me whilst on a gondola in Venice which had me in fits of giggles and the gondolier rolling his eyes 🥴
