New RCI Cruise Terminal in Miami.

Does anyone have an update as to when the new terminal will be opened? Going in late November and was hoping it would be open.

Been wondering that myself. I don't leave till February so I'm probably good. Heard it was opening in the fall. Not much news on it out there.

When we were in Miami this spring we were told October 2018.

Excellent, we have a cruise on Nov. 25th. Was hoping to be able to park right at the terminal. Awesome!!

We sailed past the terminal last month leaving Miami and there was lots and lots of construction still going on.

 

We're sailing out of Miami on the Symphony and our eDocs have the typical generic "Follow directional signs as you enter the Port." We're hoping the signs will lead us all the way down to the end of the road at the new terminal.

For some reason, I haven’t sailed out of Miami for some time. Do the residents along the path out of the harbor still flash their lights and wave as you sail away?

There are very few residences on the way out - you sure you are not thinking of PE?

A bigger problem with it not being ready would be the much longer transit to Terminal G backwards (Oasis class unlikely to fit in the turn around basin like other ships).

The Crown of Miami is scheduled to open to passengers on November 9 for Symphony's arrival though it would have to be operational before that.

 

The turning basin in just over 1600ft which would appear to accommodate Oasis class ships. We'll see.

There is a six night cruise on Allure scheduled to leave on Nov. 5 out of the new terminal. It's the first cruise to leave from Terminal A. Hope it's complete because we are on that sailing.

Physically it might work, but someone mentioned that they won't try it and ships will just back into Terminal A.
