Also, pre-Covid, the fleet mostly implemented a 10-week rotation schedule.  Each Captain was "on" for 10 weeks, and then "off" for 10 weeks.

 

During and post-Covid, it has been observed that there are now a variety of lengths of the rotation, which does make it a little more challenging to predict who the Captain will be on any future cruise.

Captain Mise Tevsic, from Dubrovnik, Croatia, took over the helm of Vision on 11-4-2023.  A nice man who used to serve as staff captain on Grandeur, under Ante Cavala, a few years back.  He gets on the PA, gives you your position in latitudes and longitudes, in knots and statute miles, the weather in Fahrenheit and Centigrade and is out of there!  He does not mess around.😊

No. The 2 masters can set whatever rotation they want, anywhere from 8-14 weeks. As long as the total is working 6 months and having a total of 6 months off. Capt Johnny figured out if they alternate 11/12 week rotations, each master will have every other Christmas home.
