Depends on what channel it is on. When I was on Victory in September, any games that were on the major networks were not shown. The only games they showed were ones on ESPN and FS1.

LSU-Alabama is on CBS, which doesn't bode well for OP if what you say is accurate.

I know it's different because it was the Championship game and it was in January, but we were able to watch the Alabama game in one of the bars during the cruise.  You might be able to tip a buck or 2 and have the channel changed..

and, uh....Roll Tide!!!!

I have resigned myself to not relying on the ship for any college football viewing. It is so hit or miss. On Sept 15, they were showing the close 14-13 Ohio State/TCU game then suddenly switched channels to the 52-7 Alabama/Ole Miss game. Even in the sports bar where they usually show 3 or 4 different games, they switched channels so the only football showing anywhere was Alabama/Ole Miss. From now on, I will depend on ESPN GO and CBS all access on my tablet during football season.

Last week, this week last year, we were on the Dream for the Bama/LSU game. They showed it outside on the big screen. Imagine a ship out of NOLA with all those LSwho's and us BAMA rednecks. It was great. Shouting and taunting all over the place. Topped off by the best Rammer Jammer I've ever heard. We rocked the gulf that night. RTR.

Was on the Horizon Oct 6-14. They have a "Sport's Bar" and had 1 football game showing but never the good ones...no FL State VS U of Miami on Oct 6 (cruise port of Miami too) and no Ohio State (I know these 2 because guys in our travel party wanted to see these 2 games...and we talked to GA fans who were also ticked that their game wasn't shown). They did not show any networks just some ESPN channel. They had cricket and poker on other channels. NO sports, at all, on cabin TV channels. Also never showed any of the MLB play offs. Also there was hardly ever a bartender in the sports bar and when there was it was just one guy behind bar and the place was packed with folks looking to see their games (we went in several times, hoping some miracle would happen and a good game would be on) and never got drink service so we'd have to go over to casino bar to get drinks and come back (though nothing to watch anyway). The casino TVs had same crap on as the "sport's bar". DH won't cruise Carnival again during football season. We have Royal booked for Jan, during play offs and if better we will be switching to Royal (if not better, we'll not cruise during football anymore...sigh for me).

Last year Carnival ships still carried the major networks,, so there was never a question if a game on a major network was going to be shown on the ship.

With the Fantasy cruising out of Alabama, it is almost a certainty that they will show the number 1 team playing the number 3 team because everyone (except for a few Alabama people) wants to see LSU whup Alabama.

And Carnival will make a fortune when all those Bammies try to drown their tears with alcohol.

I assume you haven’t sailed on Carnival recently. Carnival doesn’t carry the major networks anymore. The Alabama-LSU game is on CBS, which means ithe game likely won’t  be shown on the ship. This is consistent with my experience this Fall and numerous other posts on this site where a lot of good college football were not available on the ship.

I was on the Triumph 9-9-18 when I watched the Saints lose their only loss of the season. I was on the MSC Seaside watching LSU beat Ole Miss on 9-29-18 but I am not able to predict with certainty what games will be on the ship any day.

However, if the Dream sailed out of New Orleans and the Saints game wasn't shown on their TVs that day the ensuing riot would force the ship to return to dock fairly quickly.

Cruising this Sat on the Fantasy.  Is there any bar, etc that I can watch the game on while on ship?

OK, today is the day, how about a report on what games are on?

I can tell you that it was not on The Miracle.(and neither will we be on any other Carnival ship during football season)   The company apparently thinks that the bottom line is more important than customer satisfaction...no matter how small the savings may be.  This is a perfect example of poor money saving decisions.  I hope this one bites them in the ass!

Excuse me....I did not say it was the end of the world.  I said was the end of us sailing on Carnival during football season!  Thank you Coevan!

Yeah just gotta be careful when you sail. I’m going on my first December cruise. It’s the day after my college football teams conference championship, before bowl games start, and the saints are playing on the Thursday before I leave so they won’t be playing the Sunday I leave. They play the Sunday I get back and I get back in New Orleans so no problem unless we get stuck at sea or something.
