ShelleyQT Posted November 13, 2018 #55 Share Posted November 13, 2018 Two eggs over easy from the omelette station. It seems silly because they're so simple, but I never order them at restaurants because they're never cooked right (always too runny or too hard), and they are always cold when they get to your table because eggs cool quickly. But on the cruise, I can order the eggs, grab some bacon while they're cooking, and take them hot to my table. Hey, you asked for odd! 🙂

Shidah Posted November 13, 2018 #57 Share Posted November 13, 2018 Casino Thermal Spa Chocolate croissants every morning cruising solo (enjoy going with family too but there is something so special about cruising alone that I look forward to those vacations the most) everything O’Sheehans watching countless people play the game where you are trying to get plastic piece on a hydraulic pusher to go into the hole to win cash (not sure I am describing this right) and never seeing anyone win

Strangely enough you would go in the next day and one of the holes would be empty of the cash as though someone won. My guess is the casino emptied it to look like there was a winner.....

My first cruise it was salmon mousse, last cruise it was chocolate croissants and muesli. I can't wait to discover my new obsession in January! SAME. Mine on Getaway was waffles with whipped cream, fresh fresh fruit and syrup.... Yuuuum
MrsT3030 Posted November 13, 2018 #60 Share Posted November 13, 2018 I love seeing people’s food combinations in the buffet (shout-out to the lady with a chocolate cupcake in the middle of a place, surrounded by heaps of clams, this week on the Jewel). 1

Sadly, Carnival does this better than NCL, more detailed information about location and the identification of islands nearby. As I become a more seasoned cruiser I have a pretty good idea where we are at and which islands are which, but when I was a newbie I was really interested in learning the names of the islands I could see from my balcony. *I enjoy the art auction. I find it fascinating what some people will spend and how many pieces they will wind up purchasing. (the "champagne" sucks, however. ha!) *on land I despise buffets, on NCL I absolutely love them. when they're not crowded I enjoy them even more than the MDR, I think. I like the "washy washy happy happy" On our last cruise they actually had a guitar player singing the phrase.
mdsgu Posted November 13, 2018 #62 Share Posted November 13, 2018 Not sure how "weird" it is, but, after visiting so many islands, I absolutely love sea days. There's nothing I have to do and I have all day to do it. Mix in the drink package, and it's just about perfect.

I am sailing on the Encore Inaugural Transatlantic next November and aside from the brand new ship, the thing I am looking forward to the most is NINE sea days!
Sweetnspicy Posted November 13, 2018 #64 Share Posted November 13, 2018 I absolutely love having a little plate of croissants, coffee and juice brought to me in the morning. We call it pre breakfast. It helps to settle my stomach from motion sickness/UBP. When I am finally up and moving we go and have real breakfast. I love that nervous/excited feeling upon boarding the ship. Rare Lupush Posted November 13, 2018 #66 Share Posted November 13, 2018 Unlimited Meyer's Rum Pina Coladas with UBP (although that's not odd) The smell of the washy washy hand sanitizer. Has that kind of minty/alcohol type of smell.
