Pop quiz; how many Prinsendam's have there been in HAL's illustrious history

I'll take a gamble on this one.  I think it's two.  One was lost at sea.  I'm probably wrong though 😉

Winner Roy! Here's the first one prior to her ultimate fate in the Gulf of Alaska

I've often thought about what it must have been like that night with those open lifeboats.

Me too.  Have you read the story Roy?  (Pretty sure that's a yes).

Not one life was lost.  Pretty impressive indeed.

Evening All!  Just made it in time. Had no power for last 6 hours due to a storm.

Everything back to normal now, so let the parade begin.........

(Oh, it already has!)

But they saved the best for last.

I guess they have been waiting for you - now the DAM parade can begin. 😄

I thought it was a great story although it was panned in some of the reviews I read.

The fact that no lives were lost was due to air assets from the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Air Force, plus the Canadian Forces from Comox, BC as well as USCG and civilian ships. That's why it's known as the greatest high seas rescue in the history of the Coast Guard.

It truly was John.

A truly magnificent effort.
